Proof that people will do something just because they can

Actually as part of moving the land, it pulled one side of my land down with it, and cut off access to one side of my build - the door opens to a giant cliff now. Again, I said they can do what they want with their land, it still doesn't mean it wasn't a fucked up thing to do. Speaking of this having nothing to do with someone, this affects you how? I own land in the sim, do you?

1. Attempt to move your land up agian, if not weep that you didn't own enough land in the sim.

2. Move the door or remove it.

3.It doesn't, and I never said it did, so that point is moot.

4. No, I don't own land in blue. Mainly because I don't feel like paying for an incomplete program as it is.

This militant libertarian belief that one can whatever they want on their land needs to be retired. There are already many restrictions on land, such as prim limits, PG and M limits, hard terraforming limits in some sims, minimum age requirements, and behavior guidelines by the ToS and CS. The notion of complete freedom on land in SL is a fantasy.

I believe, that griefing through radical terraforming should not be permitted and added to the CS. It's disruptive and upsetting to dozens residents, negatively affecting the quality of their gaming experience.

Sorry, but that's a total cop out of this entire situation. No names were mentioned in the first post. What you're saying is like having your nextdoor neighbor build up a huge pile of dog shit in their yard, and then they go and try to call for YOU to be punished for complaining to the township about it!

Put yourself in the same position and imagine how much you would like it, and then think about how you would react to it.

Ok, I thought that this thread would have died by now. Here's what happened with the lake.
It wasn't reddish or omerna that did the damage that you are all going on about. They did make the first lake. It was just low enough for the water to show through.
They gave me the lake area, made me an officer and said that I can call it mine. I've never teraformed before. I went to the bottom and lowered everything. When I came up it was all straight up and down. Some of the land was taken from the owners.
After that I've had sick cats and work picking up. For me Real Life is my first priority not Secondlife.
I know that the lake looks bad. I need to fix it. I've started in fact, but with people coming over the lake, and in the forums, telling how it sucks and looks awful, what they think of the owners, I've stopped. I'm not going to finish the work. I don't care how long it takes anymore.
Your not making it any easier for the ones that are involved to come to terms with anything.
The lake is going to be there. The issue is how is it going to look and how long will it take. With all the OUTSIDE people coming in, putting in their own opinion about the lake....do you really think that your helping?
