Cris I'm sorry this has happened to you and others in your neighborhood.

Let me know if you want some support dealing with this.

It's ok, I was not surprised by it - I have lived by the most inconsiderate ass in Second Life, so this one was no shocker :)

Zoned Sims are ok for those people who enjoy opression and a Pleasantville lifestyle, some people like freedom.

I would say that's a tad harsh. I really don't see how you can say I "enjoy oppression."

Or dislike freedom.

My residential community gives me the freedom to be in a region I enjoy. I'm not the least into being oppressed.

Others feel the same way.

I think it's mean of you to say that.

I think its kind of mean for you to keep pushing your residental sim living down other peoples throats like it is utopia.

Is THAT what you think I am doing?

Then I push Captions down everybody's throats like it was Nirvana!

And a lot of other stuff, too!

Good heavens! I'm just being happy and positive about something I like! And I mentioned it here, as one reason why I live in this Sim. It is pertinent to the thread, after all.

I just . . . really, I'm taken aback that you have this idea!

coco

P.S. Anyway, why would I do that? I'm not making money off this Sim! And anybody who wants to can live in it. Or not! What do you expect me to do, never talk about it?

Get your head out of the Wiki, Eggy - this is about the sim currently - it is mostly commerical. I know all about the history of Blue, what on earth does it have to do with this situation? Nothing.
So who did this? What's the group name and the officer's name? Someone PM it to me so I can post it here like the naughty little rebel I am.

If you volunteer for it and you enjoy it, it's not oppression.

It may, however, be illegal in Nebraska.

Oh wait, we were talking about zoning...

Don Merwan,

I need a favor... this cousin of mine, he comes into my house, sleeps with my husband, drinks my wine, and what do I get? Nada.

Now I'm not asking for anything drastic, just a little justice... what do you say, Don?

I have land in 2 zoned sims, so far.. no opression! :)

Cristiano this blows. The older sims are really cool because you can terraform so much. I've seen amazing and beautiful terraforming in sims like Varney, at Ale Bukowski's place (Pirate's Cove), and beautiful waterways made through sims like Rose. But this is the flip side of that freedom. People who abuse it.

If your husband is sleeping with your male cousin, you have bigger problems.

Ingrid tried to oppress me from Barcola, but it did not work because oppression does not cross sim borders well.

OK, here's the scoop. The group is called "The Commune" and the founder is "Reddish Tigereye". I've never heard of either but I'll add them to my list of shameless land of griefers along with Paris Parks.

This goes beyond having a club next door and even the typical problem of SL sprawl, which drove me from the mainland. Let's hope that the Lindens facilitate the restoration of Blue.

Um, she was horrible to the previous owner of the land, Charlotte Gillepsie - she put up giant ugly balls all over the sim that remained even after Charlotte left, until gutting the land as it presently looks.

No pitchforks, once again, they can do whatever they want with their land. I was just pointing out what an asshole thing it was to do to the sim.

I don't subscribe to the libertarian viewpoint that one can do whatever they want with their land. This kind of radical terraforming is clearly disruptive to an entire community.

Taking a philosophical perspective, one could say that forcing this kind of change onto others robs them of their autonomy and is thus by definition immoral.

Perhaps it's time to bury this libertarian property-based justification for land griefing and modify the ToS to include having respect for one's neighbors. No more radical terraforming without the community's consent!

Oh Goodness. No more rules. I'd rather pay the price for freedom, than to not have the freedom.

Now I can say my land is WATERFRONT , just meters from a telehub, and fully terraformable. $20 per m2 PM or IM me with offers!
