Yes I've been around awhile and have my own experience with LL corporate. IMHO, you're over-reacting. But I also appreciate your doing the best you can with a nearly impossible situation here on the forums.

I would suggest hiring an intern to delete the thousands attacks made in reference to me.

A couple of months ago, someone declared me FIC publically in the forums. I will find the post if you require it.

Since then, the same person has spent countless hours (molesting the the english language) attacking the FIC.

When can I expect to see my name cleared?

(I do not expect this of course. I expect to see other threads remaining unlocked).

Yup. Personally I think they dont go far enough. Those stupid threads need to be deleted shortly after they begin, not 150 pages thereafter.

Normally Chip, I tend agree with you and your posts. This time not.

Some posters get away with blanket attacks and sweeping accusations, while others are censored for the same thing.

Doing the same thing does not make it right, but censoring one, and not the other is wrong.

Possibly some are missing Pathfinder's point for deleting the thread. It was the complaining about the profiles on the SL web page.


In other words, Prokofy & Co. were denigrating people highlighted there, hence the deletion.

I for one am glad that it was deleted. It was a dodgy premise, as was the horribly improper definition of the word "speculator", which completely ignored it's true economic context.

These forums are getting to the point where the majority of stuff is interpersonal conflicts, "us vs. them", and people bitching at LL because they're having a bad day (life?). I don't blame LL one bit for taking a harder line. They tried to take the light handed approach, only to have the same old shit erupt over and over again.

If you are bothered by something about SL, make a thread, let people discuss it. Argue vehemently if you must. However, if you don't feel the thread went your way, too bad. Don't continue to beat on the same damned dead horse issue forever. It only causes damage to new players perception of ALL of us, and is akin to spam.

You are not including the most often cited example of Neologism generation, "Word Salad" exemplified in the mentally ill. I think this is an obvious ploy on your part (as part of the Non-mentally illati) to belittle the mentally ill and their right to exist in this forum. I am not trying to bash Pathfinder. He seems to be emotionally involved, which I appreciate and respect.

However, by caring so much, I think he is setting the wrong precedent. That happens with passionate people.

I mean look at Nolan, and how he constantly comes on to me in the forums!

Yeah, that someone also praises or condemns Pathfinder, depending on which way his decisions fall. Today that person is talking out both sides of their mouth, first praising Pathfinder for deleting a thread, then using the closing of a thread to reason that the "FIC" must exist, or else that thread would not have been closed, as if it was a subversive attempt by Pathfinder to cover up the supposed existence of the "FIC".

They also assumed that Pathfinder, as a new Linden, had been relegated to moderation duty, as if it were menial. An insultive assumption to say the least. This is the same person who is trying to insinuate that Robin is being slowly shoved out LL's door because she was moved from Marketing. What a terrible, self-imposed nightmare it must be to live a life like that, where every single action must have ulterior motives.
