But Rose your vote did count. Both Democrats and Republicans held all kinds of voter registration drives... Florida democrats have been gearing up for this since 2000... if the Republicans were able to bridge the vote gap from what it was in 2000 to what it is right now (323,558 with 97% reporting) then even if you take the votes that are in "question" right now, the gap is still wide enough to not even count them at all. Bush wins Florida.

I voted in Brevard County, Florida, in 2000.
I'm in Ohio this year.

Why do I keep ending up in battleground states?

Sorry. I don't see ANY humor in even pretending to tell terrorists invading our country who to kill and who not to kill.

It's an IF --> THEN situation Aaron, don't worry bout it. Just having Bush in office for another 4 years is encouragement enough. :p

Also, in NM, Bush is holding an 11,000 vote lead with 71% in.

And Colorado just went to Bush.

Bush is leading in Ohio by over 150,000 votes with 77% reporting.

With Florida and Colorado going to Bush, Zogby's prediction CANNOT happen.

98% reporting, Bush winning by THREE HUNDRED AND FOURTY THOUSAND votes. Even if 50% of them are fraud -- very unlikely -- Bush still wins. Absentee ballots in Florida ALWAYS got 2:1 for the Republican. Bush wins.

Florida is not going to repeat 2000 this year.

As someone who was "forced by oath" to respect the man in office, despite my personal political beliefs and policies of those gentlemen often in conflict with my personal views on various issues, throughout a full military career, I have to say that I am a bit disappointed in the (generally civilian-without-military-experience) electorate lack of support and willingness to be "the loyal opposition" over the past four years and this campaign in particular. Even when that ignorant and immoral *** was in office prior to Bush, I didn't engage in some of the disgusting characterizations I have heard partisans on both sides engage in this campaign. I am sorely disappointed in the electorate - but not because of or in spite of whoever does get elected.

IMNSHO, people need to suck it up and remember that, once elected, it is "rally time". This isn't a sports championship event where you can legitimately root for the loser and denigrate the winner - not and have the country even try to approach the ideals we supposdely stand for. As much as our system may or may not have flaws, I don't see anyone running elsewhere to live and participate in another political system because it is viewed as "better" than the US one. If Kerry does get elected (think of the media error of the Truman-Dewey election results reporting), I will have do to just that - though I believe he is the wrong man, at the wrong time, vying for the wrong position to paraphrase him. I will support him AS PRESIDENT. Why shouldn't I expect even staunch Democrats to do the same?

Thank God this will be over one way or another by Jan 21, 2005 NO MATTER WHAT.

I hate election campaigns... hate them.. hate them.. hate them.. for what they do to the country.

Urban areas of Ohio haven't been counted yet.

Bush needed BOTH Ohio and Florida.
Kerry only needed one or the other.

Even with Florida in Bush's column --it leaves Kerry with 291.
Colorado didn't even factor in Zogby's prediction.

Please do not take this the wrong way. But we have a volunteer army. You decide to serve. Just because an American decides not to serve in the military it does not discount their feelings regarding the country. My entire family is military but they do not alienate me and tell me that I have no right to oppose or disagree with the powers that be just because I did not.

You were not "forced" unless you were part of the Vietnam Draft. So please do not discount my civilian contributions to this country as lesser than those who choose a military career. I can still root for the loser because in this country the loser still has a voice even if they are not in office. I can still root for my personal opinions, beliefs and causes...why because that is the right that my grand father fought to preserve the last time the US was attacked.

I love the military. But the new idealogy that persons in the armed forces have the right to tell me that it is not my right to speak out against injustices is against everything they fight for.

ohh and since when is a hummer in the oval office a worse offence than illegally attacking another country in a preemptive strike brought about by created and/or faulty intelligence?
I'll take immoral over insane anyday.

And how can you love America and hate elections? Isn't it our right to elect our representatives and be represented one important thing that makes us different from those countries we go to war with? Isn't that what we are trying to give the people of Iraq?

Just my ever so humble freedom loving civilian opinion....and now back to the campaign

So no if supporting the president, any president, means lockstepping to whatever their whim may be and following the party lines like a blind mouse...you won't find me in the rally...I'll be the one on the sidelines making sure they are doing the right thing, that the lies are uncovered and the truth is in full light...that is my duty as an American Civilian Citizen.

For the last four years, our country has been divided in two.

Not one political candidate came out that the population felt that they could "slightly swing" their opinion towards.

But it must feel awful for Bush to realize that the country who elected him four years ago did so with the electorial college and not the popular vote. Even now, if he is a man of compassion that he says he is -- he will and should realize that one-half of his country doesn't like his opinions, his politics, and his warmongering ways. Those opinions won't change unless he changes -- and these elections are not a seal of approval for his actions.

What this country needs right now is an elected leader who can and will moderate with both internal warring factions within America so that the our country can be united once again.

Even the terrorists know that this is a country divided in it's political opinions.

United we stand, divided we fall.

I'd like to echo Lordfly's apology. The right-wing religion party has really screwed us up. We have a president that was reelected on homosexual hate, abortion, and fear. Way to go guys. I hope you all get to sleep in the bed you made.

I really do not understand where American's are going with this. I do not understand where these bushies are coming from.

Perhap America is realising the at leader with a strong sense of purpose, morality, and leadership is better than any of the sniveling, cowardly, lying twits the opposing party has managed to get to run for president in the last 12 years?

I for one, while I may not agree with everything GW has done, do admire him for those traits. Some of the traits the Distinguished Gentleman who ran against him is definitely lacking in.
