...I would like to apologize for being unable to vote out a Bible-thumping, narrow-minded conservative cowboy.
If you do decide to invade to correct our mistake, please spare Michigan; we're nice folks, and much like Canada, except with more water and more euchre, and less fuzzy hats and moose.

This is turning out to be one of the most depressing days of my adult life. What do people see in the religious right wing screw ball? I looked over the exit polls it is scary who has picked our president:
according to CNN exit polls Bush is winning the votes of white, middle-senior aged protestant men in the middle to upper class who have moderate educational backgrounds or do not hold degrees and are not affiliated with unions. Ohh and they are of course heterosexual rural gun owners who are married with children and attend church weekly. What are their hot button issues? Of course little more than the two T's...taxes and terrorism. This one was a shocker, of all the reasons to love Ole GW they chose religion as the number one favorable characteristic in their candidate 90 percent of them chose this as the one reason they like Bush. Caring about the people 22%, intelligence 8% and willingness to bring change 4%. And it is only fair to mention that of the women voters he is getting the housewife vote by in large (nothing against housewives it is the hardest job on the face of the earth...but it amazes me with his stance on women's rights issues).
I really do not understand where American's are going with this. I do not understand where these bushies are coming from. Not only is it devastatingly scary that the people voting for bush would rather he attend church and pray than have an intellect above that of a rotten 3 year old, but they are not concerned with the facts at all. They do not care that he lied about something far graver than getting a hummer in the oval office. His lies brought on death, fear and the hatred of our global peers. Hmm...do I want a president who enjoys a BJ or one that knowingly attacks a country for illegitimate reasons? This question must be harder for others to answer.

I hear you Isis, this is a sad day for this country. I tried to vote the bugger out, guess it wasn't enough. *edit* Ok, my response is hasty - I blame Lordfly. =)

Florida is in dire need of a revamping of the school system. Counting is essential. Counting as far as you know how and then throwing away the rest is just not good enough and is not a way to better onesself.

This pretty much comes down to Ohio
If Bush wins it. Its pretty much over.
If Kerry wins it. Bush still has a slight chance if he can take Iowa and Hawaii.

Push's lead in Florida grows and grows. In counties he LOST with 38% of the vote in last election he's WINNING with 58% of the vote this time around.
Florida is going to go to Bush, and this time with a large enough margin that any questionable ballots won't even make a difference.

I think it's safe to say that Bush has Florida, BUT it's still very close otherwise. We're going to have one HELL of a divided nation after this (as if it wasn't divided enough before.)

From: Jack Digeridoo I'm moving to Nunavut to start an igloo commune. Who's comin with? I'm there. I'm so F***ing disgusted with where I live I'd be happy to shovel snow from my igloo walkway for time eternity. What a bunch of asshats we have here running our election process in Florida.

You know, you are talking about KILLING your fellow Americans.
That puts you on the same team as Osama Bin Laden, you know... Is that really the group you want to be associated with? Even Kerry said he'll hunt them down and kill them.

Quoting out of context is popular in this election...but that is not what was said. It was, I believe, a tongue in cheek comment. From reading the posts of all involved in the past, noone here wants another attack on the US but many of us believe that the incumbants current foreign policy will likely (in Bush's own words) Bring It On.

It's a joke Aaron - I'm in no way advocating hurting anyone. It's just that there have been so many questionable practices with regard to voter registration and voting here in Florida that I'm a little frustrated in having yet another year where my vote does not seem to count.
Viva Democracy.
Florida Style.
