It's interesting to me that it appears to be impossible to have a political or religious discussion without resorting to name calling and attacking people for their beliefs. An alternative might be to prohibit political and religious threads. Some forums have done it. I would prefer not to, so please stop with the personal attacks.

Your argument is an insult to all those who stutter, stammer and stumble when they speak. A few of the famous who are known stutterers include - Demosthenes King George V. Aesop Clara Barton. Somerset Maugham Charles Darwin. Greg Louganis Marilyn Monroe. Winston Churchill Bruce Willis. John Updike Henry Luce. James Earl Jones Mel Tillis. You're funny. I never said Bush was stupid. I said he certainly gave the image of it. My points were that the place one graduates from isn't an over all indicator of real intelligence(Which also means the fact he's a C student means nothing).

Also, what I meant by the last line was this.... If say, someone was telling me about someone and said they graduated from Harvard I would get the impression naturally that they were smart. More people then not who graduate from Harvard are smart(beyond a "I study for a test for purely academic reasons" kinda way).. But there is still quite a lot of stupid people who graduate too. So really, it's a bad indicator. It can give you a first impression, but you really have to know to person to tell. We, the American people see a lot of Bush and he has gone down as the "Stupid" president, in terms political humor.. This shows my point. He has given the image that he is stupid. Whither he is or not is a different matter.

As I said in a previous post. We could argue if he's right or wrong till the day we die. But he certainly doesn't act very smart. I think the image that our president is a dope is not very good for our country.

Demosthenes stuttered so badly that he practiced speaking with stones in his mouth to correct the problem. Ultimately, he was successful. Do you know why he went to this extreme, Korg? Because he was an exceptionally intelligent, well-spoken man who strove to be a great political figure.

Even if Bush were to devote the rest of the life to curing his stuttering problem, he'd still be one of the stupidest world leaders that has ever existed. His speech impediment is second to his complete inability to think.

Why does this strike me as incredibly juvenile?

Oh, that's right. It is.

What was the topic again?

*looks at Spider and Rickard and nods...*

I'm sorry, it just really hurts me to see my friends attack each other like this. I'm really disappointed and, well...
