I'm not sure. I get this "sense" that you're real. All I've got to go on is a trail of electronic bits forming themselves in what appear to be intelligent symbols and words. you could post a picture, but photographic evidence can easily be doctored. In any case, all you could show me would be a physical mass which you might claim is a human being, but tests might indicate cylon ancestry. It's also possible that I'm delusional, and what I'm perceiving is nothing more than the interaction of some misconnected neurons and the bad burrito I had for lunch.

I'm too old to wax philosophic about the nature of reality. At best it's a thought-provoking exercise and at worst its fodder for the fallacious argument from ignorance. ~Ulrika~

Reality is just a perception and arguing about it is as fruitful as arguing about whether or not blue looks the same to you as blue looks to me.

Unless, of course, you are arguing with someone who experiences synaesthesia. In which case, the other party might actually see what you are trying to say.

Aww, I thought we were both having fun poking holes in each other. A little debate over whether or not we exist is, to me, directly in line with the question of whether ghosts exist. Or to put it another way, it takes a little leap of faith to recognize the presence of another being and give them the reality they deserve. As for the "argument from ignorance" I don't see how it applies in this case. Certainly there's been enough of that on both sides in this thread, though. Anyways, my nose is running and my feet smell, so I'm going home for a nap.
