Artist: Tolkien Ensemble Album: An Evening in Rivendell Track Title: Galadriel's Song of Eldamar I found this beautiful song while looking for LOTR mp3 files online. The genre of their music can best be described as classical opera, but I think it has more of a refreshing folk feel to it. The group was formed in 1995 in Denmark. All artists in the group have studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. Signe Asmussen, mezzo-soprano Mads Thiemann, baritone Morten Ryelund Sørensen, violin Katja Nielsen, double-bass Peter Hall, folk-vocal & various instruments Caspar Reiff, guitar That's right ... no synths, electric guitars or modern instruments ... just beautiful music.

From: Lorelei Patel Lisa Gerrard and Dead Can Dance. I think this is what heaven sounds like. I finally got to see them live a few months ago. It was amazing. If you don't have it, I highly recommend ordering their live 2 disc set of the North American tour when they release it. They did one from the Eurpean Tour earlier this year that's just phenomenal. Sold out already, unfortunately.

From: Jonquille Noir Johnny Cash doing Hurt Alice in Chains doing Another Brick in the Wall ... Alice in Chains - Don't Follow Marry me? Taking a cue from this article, I've put the songs above, the songs below and several others on random to wake me up to each morning. So far it's worked *great* I never wake up with that dead to the world molasses feeling. And no jarring shock jocks. Audioslave - I Am The Highway Bif Naked - Lucky Blind Melon - No Rain Blues Traveler - Hook Bush - Glycerine Counting Crows - August and Everything After (12 - 12 - 03 Warfield Theater, San Francisco) Cracker - Take Me Down To The Infirmary Foo Fighters - Tiny Dancer (Grohl On Kilbourn Show - AT&T Accoustic Set) Goo Goo Dolls - Iris Johnny Cash - The Man Comes Around K's Choice - Not An Addict Live - Lightning Crashes Pearl Jam - Nothingman Radiohead - Creep Shinedown - Simple Man Smashing Pumpkins - Tonight, Tonight Soundgarden - Fell On Black Days Stone Sour - Bother Stone Temple Pilots - Plush (Acoustic) The Black Crowes - She Talks To Angels Tori Amos - 1,000 Oceans
