From: Lost Newcomb Ah the fascist advocacy.
This is democracy for you boys and girls, learn it from the Marine (educated by the best).
Why is every single Marine using this line now? Is this the foundation this nation was build on?
No dissent!
You are either with us or you are against us!
Hail Bush! Long live the emperor! Magnum?

From: Lost Newcomb So can a USMC guy get away with saying this:
If his CO found out what would happen to him ? He would say, "Don't do that again, soldier!". Then when you weren't looking he would give him a high-five.

From: Alex Fitzsimmons It makes perfect sense if you engage in doublethink, Coyote. Try harder. But it makes my wee head hurt.

From: Finning Widget ... You idiot. You do realise that people enlist in the Armed Forces for their own reasons, and that individual National Guardsmen are not responsible for the crimes committed by others, right? You do realise that individual infantry are not responsible for, nor do they have any control over, policy - right?
There is ZERO evidence that the victim in question (The National Guardsman) was anything other than an honest, conscientious man who wanted to serve his country and protect it and its' ideals - ZERO evidence that he killed children, or did anything less than completely honorable service.
You DO know there's such a thing as wagging the dog, right? Manufactured situations designed to generate popular sentiment against a particular viewpoint, right? They're bait, and the clueless and those who lack compassion walk into them, right?
Individual people are responsible for what has happened in Iraq - they are the soliders who killed innocents, those officers and commanders who set policy or failed to enforce policy, and NO ONE ELSE.
Individual people are responsible for what has happened in Guantanamo. Soldiers, commanders, officers. NO ONE ELSE.
Hamdan v. Rumsfeld has set the stage for trying the highest policymakers and officials in the Bush Adminsitration for War Crimes under our OWN War Crimes act - and the Bush Administration, known for dirty tricks (ROVE! HELLO!), stealing elections, manufacturing red herrings (WMD! HELLO!) are SURE to be trying to start something to generate popular sentiment against those who want us OUT of the War in Iraq - first, we are Fascist-sympathisers (thank you rummy) and NOW we're being portrayed as violent lawless gangsters!!!!
Way to ******* GO, in fulfilling the stereotype, you twit!
That man deserves your respect and your sorrow - you didn't know him, you don't know what he did, he's not a criminal, and he's not a symbol of what's wrong in this country. Finnich...marry me?

Oh, you thought this was a new phenomenon? Think again: From: someone Police Need Your Help In Capturing Beating Suspects
August 25, 2005 By KOMO Staff
SEATTLE - Two soldiers who just returned from a year in Iraq were badly beaten in an attack outside Pioneer Square. But believe it or not, someone caught the beating on videotape. Now, police are asking for your help identifying the suspects.
The brutality of it all was captured on tape outside of Larry's Nightclub on First and Yesler on July 31.
Police say the victims were with two women who'd been groped by the suspects. One of the women threw a hot dog at the suspects and walked away.
They didn't get very far. The three suspects ran after them and began attacking the two men -- two soldiers who'd come home from the war.
The graphic videotape shows both victims getting beaten over and over again, and then after one of the victims loses consciousness, a suspect starts stomping on his head.
Now police want your help in catching these guys.
"We consider them very dangerous," said Seattle Police Officer Sean Whitcomb.
After not getting any leads, Seattle police have just released this tape to the media even though it happened over three weeks ago.
But clubs and businesses we spoke with wonder why police waited for almost a month before making the tape public.
KOMO 4 News spoke with Larry Culp, the co-owner of Larry's, who was in Vancouver, B.C. Thursday. He told us there are several things that really disturb him. He said if police believe it happened at his club, why didn't they contact him until Thursday? And why didn't they ask for tapes from the two cameras he has outside the building?
Culp says he talked with police when he installed the camera, and they knew they were there. And the department should have known the tape is recycled every six days.
But Whitcomb says they tapes they do have are paying off, adding since the release of the video Wednesday night, police have received several relevant tips. While he declined to elaborate, he did say police believe arrests will come "sooner rather than later."
If you know who these suspects are, or have any information in the case, you're asked to call Seattle Police.
Both victims suffered broken jaws, while one suffered a broken arm and both had other broken bones and several bruises.
http://www.komotv.com/news/printstory.asp?id=38738And there are plenty of other stories I could post, but I think you get the point. This is nothing new. I recall after the Matthew Shepard murder the Left was quick to blame Conservative radio and the Right in general for promoting an "atmosphere of hate". And again after the murder of the abortion doctor Dr. Barnett Slepian, the Left was blaming Right wing propaganda for tacitly condoning and indeed encouraging the act. Yet, I don't hear similar calls from the Left to tone down anti-war rhetoric in the face of increasing violence towards members of the military. Are we going to have another Vietnam style homecoming for these guys? -Kiamat Dusk

From: Kiamat Dusk Yet, I don't hear similar calls from the Left to tone down anti-war rhetoric in the face of increasing violence towards members of the military. Some military guys got beaten so now all dissent and opposition to the war must stop before anyone else gets hurt! (not counting the tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians we've killed and have yet to kill, of course). We'd better all goosestep along with you now, eh? Heil Bush and all that. I can see how you could make that connection (if you have the reasoning skills of a four year old). Are you really so comically ignorant that you don't see the irony of complaining about partisan rhetoric that paints all servicemen as baby killers while you're sitting here spewing equally simple minded horse shit about "the left"? You and the thugs responsible for these beatings are cut from the same cloth.
