can we tell scary stories? Once, in the early days of SL, there was a sim called Cerulean which was home to an eager newbie who had just discovered the joy of the game. He staked his claim to acres of land, and built a happy life here. He met a young woman, and they quickly fell in love. They built a beautiful home upon the rolling hillsides, and lived there happily. Soon enough, they proposed but she met a tragic end when the Feted Inner Core put a hit out on her. He was struck with grief, and destroyed his home. From the wreckage and rubble, he erected a massive monument to her. When his neighbors discovered that he was sitting on a pile of thousands of prims, they became angry and lynched him. With torches raised high and pitchforks in hand, they struck him down and he died a horrible death. His spirit haunted the sim, and the Lindens ultimately had to destroy the sim server to end the evil. The prims were returned to the general population, and to this day you can sometimes hear the plaintiff wail of a tortured soul when you rez one of the haunted prims. |
