How many of you are actually women?

I just started playing Secondlife recently, I find it amusing. It is quite enjoyable. But while playing I notice the immense amount of sexy women roaming the landscape, I find myself asking myself how many of these people are really men who just like to be a women for their own weird reasons?

I am 6'1" in real life, but 6'5" in Second Life. But then, why would people need to know that to just talk with me?

I think the same could apply to gender.

PS there is no option for "I am a male who plays a male and can admire an avatar...pixels regardless of who moved the sliders and bought the clothes", or "pie".

I understand that the topic linked there had a poll similiar to mine, but this thread is centered on a specific topic not a broad gathering of gender to avatar discussions rather this thread is about female avatars and the RL gender. Thanks for the link though.

I think it matters if you are using a female avatar and are really a male in real life, unless you have real gender problems in RL It is pretty deceiving to everyone you encounter in game especially in mature settings... thats just my thought.

I'm just a bunch of pixels on a screen, but I play a woman in RL if that helps. But then, I haven't cybered with the OP... I know one of the truck drivers who did though and he said it was ok, but that he's had better (oddly, with a toaster playing a teapot).

I propose that everyone vote "No I am a male who plays a female" just to make the OP cry.

Ive been in SL for less than a day so I havent cybered yet.

PS.. Damien, yes ya can count on fact there is lot the mangina syndrome (sp) going on in SL. Generally I figure there is a formula that shows the more slutty that a female is acting in a club, the chance they are a male raises equally (not always so dont get ya undies in a wad if ya just slut in RL as in SL ) That being said; I think you will find lot more real females in SL then most MMOs, though our number greatly raising in them aswell. Problem is, if a mangina not willing admit it ingame what makes ya think they will admit in a poll? Even though its anom they will still want to skew the numbers in most cases.

So basically ya never gonna know. Even if LL was to release figures showing how many accounts are linked to a males personal info VS the sex of thier character, it would show nothing concrete. I personally know several females in RL that have thier hubby/BFs set up their accounts and billing off his card.

Moral is.... stop worring about it and enjoy ya play time If keep wondering if that cute lil hoochie ya just paid 5000l for hour in the dungeon with is really a male or female or sheep... its just gonna drive ya crazy. Unless sheep are ya thing.. then Im sure some creator will be along shortly to direct ya to thier cybering sheep outlet...

It's pretty foolish to take anything you see in sl as a representation of what's going on in rl. When you see a furry, do you assume that the person at the keyboard is a six foot tall fox wearing a suit?

Personally I never think about rl when I am in sl.
