Hard Alley is Sick sick sick!

How come people get all bent out of shape over gor, age players, bdsm and the like but no one mentions places like Hard Alley? I mean they roleplay forced alleyway gang rape scenes and the like. How come all you self-righteous folks SO concerned over the poor women in gor and bdsm clubs and the poor adults pretending to be kids aren't all upset about places like Hard Alley?

For me, it's because I hadn't heard of the place, and it doesn't sound like somewhere I particularly want to visit either.

Me thinks its some religious types that are up in arms. Those that can't tell reality from fiction and are on a righteous crusade.

Then there are the pissy thin skinned girls in sl who get offended and go into long tirades if you even dare accidently bump into their avatar in sl.

Also more understably, people who have been abused in the past irl seeing the glorification of such acts in sl. I can understand why those would be upset.

I thought that place was mostly for pedo-age players who wished to do rape age-play?! Never been there, saw it from a distance once when flying.

I always say there is worse stuff out there. I am not going to point my finger though. It is up to each person to draw thier own moral lines.

and as far as I can tell there's no such thing as rape in SL.. you can always mute the person and teleport away, or even get a linden involved.

Women and men who fantasize about a world in which all women are property, and people who engage in virtual pedo fantasies are more deserving of the term "nutjob" I'd imagine.

Really, calling someone a nutjob because their values or morals differ from yours is not an argument, but is does make you look more like a child than an adult with a functioning mind.

I am not a "self righteous" anything. To be self righteous, I'd have to go around judging people, and that's not really my thing. But there are reasons to condemn or disagree with certain behaviors.

The thing that really annoys me is when people who are self-righteous, go around calling other people "self-righteous". Just because your moral system differs from someone else's, doesn't mean you can't also be self-righteous. Your sense of moral superiority is just as real, only based on a different moral system. So next time you want to call people "self-righteous nutjobs" look at your face in the mirror when you do it.

The difference between me and them, of course, is that I'm not trying to get two (or more) consensual adults to stop activities that harm no one.

Note that, unlike you, I did not aim my statement at any one person specifically. So unless you are one those posting how age players/goreans/bdsm/Ds/sex/clubs/furries/etc are sick, demented and LL should put a stop to it -- it wasn't aimed at you. I guess though, that those high and mighty moral values of yours don't extend to not attacking someone who has never interacted with you and has never harmed you.

I may not agree with things that this thread and others like it discuss, regardless if its consensual adults or whatever. But, I'm not on a "crusade" to stop them. Could care less what others do as long as it doesn't infringe on my gameplay. However, if I knew someone that was involved in an activity, and it started to affect their RL in a negative manner, then I'd have something to say...to them, in hopes they'd get out of the bad situation.

I won't push my morals, values, lifestyle situation on you...unless you directly ask me...as long as others don't push their morals, values, lifestyle situations on me, unless I directly ask them. I'm a grown woman, I know what I like/dislike, agree/disagree with. I'm not self-righteous and not a nut job (by the way, that is not directed to anyone, just covering alot of the posts at one time.) I just have my opinions as everyone else does. Let others be, if it bothers you that much don't go to the sims it occurs in...there are plenty more sims in SL that you can explore.
