OK, without any further info forthcoming here, I'm going to conclude that what people are telling me is that, even when the bugs are fixed, many of our textures and scripts are just no longer going to work, or won't rez fast enough, and that is the way it will be. And we will have to figure out, as time goes by, what does work now. coco

Like all progression we move up and down in waves.

That's in the 1.7 spec, dontcha know. - Make textures not load - Make scripts not rez fast enough (1.7.0 release notes) Although the cool thing about 1.7 is a change in the architecture, - Scripts can now rez (but not fast enough) (1.7.0 release notes)
