anyone truly wanting to sell a good product wouldnt be ranting like some have here
from everything written hear,,, some people have cemented the fact of turning away potenial buyers
Are there any good gun shops to seek out? the kind who let the product seek for itself without the need for lifeless plugs seeking attention to sell jank ??

I am not white IRL. I understand racism well, and have to deal with bigots and prejudice almost daily. I personally find that anyone who tosses out claims of racism every time someone looks at them sideways is cheapening real racism. I find "playing the race card" to be offenseive, and it's something I refuse to ever do myself. If a bigot clearly is bigotted...its easy for the world to see in their words and actions. I do not need to point it out. I agree racism is no joking matter when it's real. But then again, making claims of racism for no apparent reason is just as serious, IMHO. Besides...I prefer to laugh at racists myself. It infuriates them so much. Everything has a place in humour, even serious subjects. Often we either laugh about something serious...or we cry about it. Both have their place, and the key is knowing which to do when. If its racism....lets call it that.... and Im callin it racist based on comments made in game by certain individuals... it aint rocket... this is about jealousy and hate... it is what it is. |

Why don't you IM the creator of the Baikal and the Desert Eagles I use themselves and find out if I'm associated. Oh wait you will just find out that your about as important in the "grand scheme of things" as the lint I just picked out of my belly button. I have a better idea, why don't you take some of you gains from "Being on top" and go buy a couple of those "Competitors" guns and then after playing with them for a second even try to pretend that the substandard trash you pawn off is up to par. Lets list the guns/weapons I own and see if I'm biased: Eata Kitty's DE's - Unnasociated when I bought them, but now novum inc: Good guns, lots of options, scripting is kept up to date with almost weekly updates. Tyrant Ludds Baikal shotgun: Good gun, shit for longrange though, and I think the slugs shoot low... I could be wrong. Lots of options... scripting kept up to date with almost weekly updates. Carducci Dual Megs: Bad scripting, ugly model, poor draw script, no ability to turn orbit/damage/push variables on/off and the same cost as previously mentioned guns, click draw which is a PITA if I'm already running in mouselook in preperation.... need I go on? C-tech assault armor: I'm calling it a gun, medium range of options, updated when needed, also has a lot of flight options, and it looks cool... groovy. C-tech redemption autos: fair ammount of options, nice model, needs shield breaking however, I think with explosive rounds I can do SOME basic shieldbreaking but thats about it. These are a fungun, not much good in real/shielded combat. I'd love to own an updated set of these. Orbz (made by DEA): when reading the box they seemed like a lot of fun..... in retrospect it was a waste of money, overcomplicated to use, pain in the ass documentation, effects... easy to turn off, not so easy to turn on. Just a general clusterfuck. Actually it would probably work well if the "How too" manual wasn't all dicked up. Souls of the Damned (DEA again): These are fun, sure it mimics a lot of stuff Psitec and others do, but hells if it isn't stylish. Psitec (All modules installed): This is the win button. Period. This is the only single weapon i have on me at all times. There is no arguing, there is no fighting it. It is god. You want a product plug? Here it is. Psitec owns. Now if I could just get Luc to send me money.... Thats what I got, I think I have one other C-tech gun but its not worth mentioning as its a showpiece with the same features as the redemption. You want a product endorsement from me? You want me to jerk off over your guns? Lower the price to about 600L, then you will be right in the pricerange for the quality you offer. You sell good 500-600L guns. You sell shitty 1200L guns. Any questions? yes... are these facts... are just your opinions... and how come I got the worst review and probally got more sales than all those you listed combined? |

I don't understand the desire to own guns. Why do you want to own guns? In SL I can't say, its like anythint its not real so why do we do it? Because its fun! But in Real life I will explain to you why I own a gun. You say Guns Kill, but they protect too. My skull and right eye socket were fractured by a guy who ignored a restraining order, I called the cops but they were too busy to concern themselves with my situation. The guy who beat me got 120 days. When released he came back intending on punishing me for daring to press charges. My brother stuck a shotgun in his face, it went "click," then he pulled the handle thing that loads it for real. My Ex pooped his pants. The cops were WORHTLESS, The judge a stinking insult to justice, but one time having a shotgun shoved in his face and he's never been back. |

Id like to mention: Huge Space Station Parachuting Swimming Boating Shoes Gadgets Games Heres the thing, I'm not arguing that your site is popular for other reasons, or that even your a good host at your shop. Thats non disputable, the question is are your guns the best bang for the buck? Answer is: No You can pick up a harbringer dirt cheap right now and it packs more function into a single piece than well.... any gun in existance. Desert Eagles, more utilitarian but still, all around better guns for cheaper price. And while someone like Tyrant or Eata may not be in the shop socializing 20 hours a day, what they ARE doing is constantly coding updates for the products they sell. Initially what started off as equip to unholster/holster has been fully scripted with gesture hotkeys, push has been added and updated, constant little bug fixes, hell I can even choose what speed I want the rounds to come out of the barrel at..... So no the maker may not hobknob with me, but she does provide me with constant updates. |

And would not that be HER fault that a manual was not with HER product even if you were telling the truth. Hmmmm. I repeat a blatant lie. You guys never fail to amaze me how far you're willing to go to damage a persons credibility. I just logged on and ZERO contact from Lil. *shrug* Why is it okay to disparage women here? Many of the best scripters in SL walk around looking female. BTW, if anyone want's an "Avatar Alert HUD" (sold at Carducci's), look around for the "Chat Range HUD" freebie made by Casey Benton of PumaCity. Just so everyone's aware of my viewpoint ... the only business I have a non-customer relationship with in-game sells swords and armor. No guns. Still waiting for my apology Lil! |

Most of the stores you mentioned sell very well made weaponry so I'm just confused either what you're posting is for fun or you really mean it. If for fun, than it was kind of a laugh but weird. If you're serious, then a shameless plug because most of these stores sell multiple well known creations there. Maybe you just create your own weapons and believe they're the best in SL. Well if thats the case, more power to you. You'll do well in SL but with the names you mentioned in your posting- I just can't agree. lol As you see- I may own my store but I also have respect for those other stores you mentioned because I once was a newbie like everyone else and have bought from them and can honestly say the guns did do what they advertised. Thank you History. I try to have most of the weapons and gadgets that are very well known is SL all in one store (Exclusive Weapons). As I always say- a satisfied customer is always the best marketing tool anyone can ever have!
I can't believe this guy was plugging Lil cause Lil is a friend of mine. he is one of the creators in my store and I really don't think he needs any plugging. Not sure why that Hok guy even mentioned my store. Any Complaints of a Weapon or a Vendor not working are immediately blocked off cause as they say "It's Bad Business". When I started buying my guns as a newbie I remember several guns/gadgets I was happy with: Pcitec- Dfss, Death Dealers- JR Vanguard- They really all did what they said they were going to do at that time. I don't usually use weapons anymore since I have almost every single weapon available in SL and I'm more into selling I guess unless I have to take out the big guns. lol Point is- competition is normal as long as they play fair. If there is a weapon that does not do what it claims, send an IM to the creator, store owner so they can see whats up. If you never get a satisfied response, then never buy from that creator again and pass the word. All the attacks here are really useless. May turn away 2-3 potential customers but it really stays within the people who are in the post. thats about it. Have fun and Defend yourself! |

Look at your posts, what sort of person would want to do business with you after reading that? Bear in mind that only a small percentage actually bother to come on these forums anyway. Ill be making sure to advise people to stay well clear of you and your 'merchandise'. In the world of firearms you wouldnt be a FN Herstal... more of a Daewoo. I laughed at that comment, your absolutely right. In the real world we have quality guns that sell for a lot of money and you get every single bang for your buck for that namebrand and the quality behind it, then you have your saturday night specials made for the lower class market they are considered cheap and are the minimum of working, nothing fancy. In this case we have cheap guns that are overpriced. There are many creators on Second Life that put a lot of time and effort into their guns and price them very well who deserve the money. The only reason these newbies get sucked into buying crap guns is the same reason people go to walmart and see a tv on display and figure because it has a high price tag it's suddenly the best tv around, it's called marketing and ignorance. People don't know what else is available to them and they see the item and instantly want it. The question on many of the junk guns sold in second life is they shouldn't be called a "Desert Eagle" or a "Uzi" when they look like 2 gray bars slapped together. |

The only really good accurate gun company I've seen thus far in SL is Welttechnologien. I agree that Carducci's sells gangster wannabe crap from what I've seen there. I'm a gun nut IRL as well and I'd like to see more accurate quality guns in SL. no comment... im bout tired of haters... yall win I suck! See ya on the most popular places charts. |
