Cool. What's to discuss? Telehubs suck. Except for the 10-20 seemingly completely unrelated things that will break the moment they impliment it, this is great news.

But it's only been acknowledged hasn't it? Is there anything saying it's definately being implemented?

That is true, but the fact that it has moved forward to the acknowledged stage is a good thing. I do hope they will implement this feature - it would benefit so many users and make SL a lot more enjoyable to travel in, especially as it continues to get larger. A handful of landowners should not hold up such an important improvement of SL for all of us.

They did it purely to piss you off, since anything to do with land seems to send you into a tizzy these days. It has not moved to in development.

Maybe they were thinking, wtf are telehubs? They make no sense in a completely digital world. Imagine if you had to go to Yahoo and click through links before you found the webpage you were looking for.

Rockin, can't wait for P2P.

Do you have any idea of the massive disruption that telehubs will cause?

This is so immensely unfair to people who have invested so much to leave them in the dark like this.

And such an over due feature for anyone who has ever created any kind of space in Second Life.

What is to develop? turn it back on if it's worthy of development. It's already developed as I understand it. Just turn i back on and let's see what happens. This would be some huge change. It won't affect me either way because I buy land so cheaply I can't lose. Glad I sold my last 512 right next to a hub for $L8999 when I only paid $L2500. Just in time if this becomes a reality. And I have plenty of land away from hubs I'll be able to unload for a premium now.

Basically, people have been getting wealthy off of my inconvenience. Now it's their turn for inconvenience and they can come up with a better business model than trapping fuckers who escape from the telehub lag.

Satchmo, when you invest in SL, not just provide services, and have a change cost you thousands in time and money, I suspect your tune will change.

That's an interesting point. Land far from telehubs may rise. People who have both telehub and non telehub land may be able to come out even.

People who specialize in telehub land though are rather screwed.

Island owners may also find themselve screwed by this. The reason I bought into an island was because I wanted next to a telehub.

Now that it isn't an issue, bye bye island.

Fantastic. Telehubs were cancerous growths and those who made livings from that cancer were secondary infections.

Now we can excise this stupidity once and for all.

But, uh, keep trying champ! You'll say something that makes sense eventually!

So does this mean I would be able to port into anyones home just by double clicking it on the map? I'm sure there are a lot of folks that will have a blast with that ability.

Who gives a crap about telehubs if we can p2p teleport. And NO we don't need to be charged for it.

Whine all you want, telehubs are a waste of space and they should have been done p2p from the beginning. And no, you don't need to be compensated for your loss of money poured into telehub land. (You made a choice to buy it in the first place, the malls at telehubs suck anyways, and I don't usually shop at them)
