From: Yumi Murakami No, we just need to respect that it isn't possible at this point to do what Anshe did. It's like trying to do what Coca-Cola did. So if Anshe is coca-cola, does that mean no one can be Pepsi? Or Nike?

From: Chip Midnight Probably because of your cynicism and a predisposition to see everything in those terms. Not everything is a sign of the apocolypse Well that was a slam but you made no valid point Chip. Try again. If you see my words as an apocolypse or the begining of one then I believe that is something you need to look more deeply at, chicken little.

Actually I thought it framed your comments quite well, as it does explain why you always see things in such dramatic, over-the-top terms. For you, and I presume we all know who your other avatar is, to call anybody chicken little is amusing in the extreme! You have been the most supreme example of constantly running around saying the sky is falling for...oh I dunno...just all the time I've been in Second Life, so coming up to 2 years that I know about. You have an amazing ability to take something, run with it and build it out of all proportion. You are, for want of a better word, an extremist and incapable of judging something in a calm, level-headed way.

From: Annah Zamboni So if Anshe is coca-cola, does that mean no one can be Pepsi? That will depend on how far the market is developed. I suppose it's vaguely possible, but they'd need a big starting stake (yes, I know Anshe keeps repeating that she didn't, but she didn't have to compete with Anshe). Unlikely, because the connection of tier fees to real money creates an artifical situation that guarantees land will always be the most lucrative market on SL.
