Yes, escort is a euphemism for prostitute in RL and in SL.
But SL escorts are not actually practicing prostitution, because there is no actual physical contact involved. Its just two people typing back and forth to each other, making cartoon figures bump pixels. That is not illegal in the USA, and it is certainly not prostitution.

1. I know some real Escorts here in TN. They are not prostitutes. They do not have sex with their clients. They go with rich people to fancy parties and look pretty to make the rich people look more important than they probably are.
2. I know some real Prostitutes in TN. They are not escorts. They do not go to ritzy parties and some are missing teeth. They will, however, give you a good 30 minute ride in an alleyway or the back of your car for 50 bucks or an ounce of smack.
Escort =/= hooker
hooker =/= escort
Escorts can be hookers. Hookers can be escorts. Most are one or the other.

well my understanding is a prostitute, is the low end of the "escort" business. usually the more expensive ppl are called call girls, which i don't remember seeing in game, but i may be wrong, so if you are looking for an angle to get in on the action, there ya go, call girls.......and if you can make some cash while rubbin AV's then what's the big deal? noone is forcing you to like it, or even be involved. just enjoy the show and grab some popcorn *cheers*
