It doesnt matter what you call them... a slight variation here or there is really irrelevant. Only thing that really is relevant is that there's been a struggle between the sexes for most of time. Both sexes need the other to procreate it lead to a transactional system of checks and balances. If you want to have sex with my daughter... you need to marry her. If you want to divorce this woman you must pay allimony. If you want to have sex one way or another you are going to pay for it. Whether it be cold cash to a prostitute, allimony to that wife that's taking you to the cleaners, or that girl on the side that you had that gets pissed because your not leaving your wife for her and decides to rat you out. in the end it's just a transaction. If this, then that.
Personally I am all for Escorts, Prostitutes, Strippers, Exotic Dancers... what ever you want to call them. Atleast the cost of doing business is right out in front of you instead of some sort of deception in which you lose half of what you saved as a rule. God Bless them Escorts. Strippers, Prostitutes and all those other lovely creatures of the night that make my existance just a little more bearable.

Elinea you know me quite a bit. I started SL as an escort and i find there to be a slight bit of a difference between the two. First of many escorts conduct themselves differently then a prostitute would. I for one wasnt jumping down guys pants every chance I got like a prostitute would. The main difference is how they conduct themselves there are some escorts that are like prostitutes but there are some that are actually escorts. There is a place in SL that actually does actual escort work i believe but they call them companions as well. They are very much alike when comparing SL escort to real life prostitute but like i said alot of the escorts conduct themselves in a different manner and thats what i conclude having worked in it and having been an escort and a club owner where there are escorts.
And you know republik elinea in all honesty do any of the escorts come off there as trying to grab sex off a guy every chance they get? I hold my ideals of how escorts operate and occordingly i expect to a degree that the girls that work for me arnt just about sex. I also am attemtping when we finish up some more stuff to do some things for the girls working there to get them out of it. It is tant amount to the same thing though i agree however the subtle differences can matter to people  . |

I happen to run one of these Escort Houses, Island, club what ever you choose to call it. First off I can't believe this thread even started! Who the heck cares! And most of the one's that hire them I'm sure are very aware what they are doing and know darn well what they are paying for. So at least the one's calling themself Escorts try to have a little class about it.. OMG I can't even beleive I post to this! Like who the hell cares? Trying to have a little class does not negate the definition. You run a whorehouse, a house of prostitution. The girls and guys who get paid for sex are prostitutes. An escort in RL is much more than a 'paid sex partner' In RL they accompany the client to places that the escort knows to make sure the client has a good time.. much like a concierge that accompanies the client... sex may or may not be tended depending on the clients needs.
