I think we all been raped lately, but not by rapists... By a company that doesn't listen to it's customers and acts worse then a mindless robot (no offence to any of you transformers :P)!

No, I am prepared myself to defend myself first. Two in the perp’s o ring will solve the problem nicely. While blubbering for my life and not to be raped remove my Glock 40 from its hiding spot and put a permanent end to his rapist’s career once and for all. In Japan I am forced to defend myself by knife alone. I have a 5 folded kitchen knife that will do the job nicely.

I would only run if there was no chance to defend myself. Will I get in trouble for sending the male perp to his grave? Perhaps in some places but you have to be alive to be in court.

Do I sound a bit militant? Perhaps but I am a warrior and not a groveling slave. I am descendant from warriors and not slaves.

Well I hope this works out for you. My guess is that your family will be visiting you in intensive care or the funeral home after the perp takes your gun away and uses it on you.

You may feel big and bad, but you don't seem mentally flexible enough to deal with whatever the situation hands you. I remember a rapist who was active in Ann Arbor, MI a few years ago. A woman would be walking down the sidewalk (in a nice part of a nice city btw). He'd walk past her and in that second, whack her in the head very hard. Every woman he attacked was stunned by that initial blow - one died from it. He was successful for a long time in a small town full of wary women.

What I hear in this post is a lot of bravado and ego - and fear and a very judgemental attitude towards those who haul ass out of the situation.

I'm descended from survivors. I don't know how many of my foremothers had to face rape. I don't know whether they fought, ran or survived, but I know they lived - and frankly, that matters more to me than ego.

I don't think that it can be classified as rape, but more as a violation of privacy and "personal" space. My friend was at a romantic spot with her partner he logged off for about 30 min and she stayed at the park apparently she went afk and returned only to discover that another Avi which was following her and her partner in the park was "playing with her xcite parts!!!!!, while she was afk not to mention that her partner logged on and caught the pervert.

I told her she was crazy not to have a access list for her bits and bobs, but she says that you have to had a little faith in human beings .It just goes to show that there are some sick people in SL as well as RL.

You're right. The Constitution has already been so inescapably trashed, we may as well dispense with the remaining tatters and remind the people that only the government shall ever be allowed even a modicum of power. Jefferson, after all, was a weak, pitiful fool who wanted a republic, where people had a voice. Can you imagine?

Although I tend to agree with you in general, Surreal, I just don't know what anyone, woman or man, for that matter, could do about someone just clubbing them over the head out of nowhere by surprise. I think that goes under the "nothing you could possibly do about it" umbrella.

If the perp in a case like this wants to kill you he does not need to get a gun from the victim. Frack he can use a kitchen knife to cut my throat. Remember no defense is perfect, none is sucide.

That was my point to Ranma - no gun would have helped, but likely the perp would have a nice gun for their next crime.

A gun or knive is not a perfect defense, and statistics have demonstrated that if you unsuccessfully use a weapon, then you are very likely to have it turned on you because the situation has escallated - thus the emphasis on escape.
