What FIC did to Coco was inexcusable and atrocious. I view it as a Rape in Cyberspace. I view it as a kind of historical event, that someone so vicious and impoverished in spirit and cruel at heart could pick on someone like Coco and do that to her. I was appalled, just appalled. Now, cyber crimes such as libel, harassment, and stalking could be "red-flags" that are indicative of a prelude to a RL rape. If somebody can't stop mentioning your panties, it's time to be concerned. But is it rape? No. _____________________

Personally i don't believe raping someone is possible in SL unless we had MoCap Suits we wear to control our avatars. You could "/ME RAPE" people and activate a gesture/animation, but it doesnt actually hurt another persons body or get them pregnant.
It's Just a avatar, it has no feeling. Now in a RP sence you could RP that your a rape victom and be deeply into the RP, but other then that it's impossible. The MoCap suit idea might happen one day, wich would interact with SL and your body making it FEEL real. _____________________

If you call differences of opinion "harassment" and abuse reporting a post "assault" you leave yourself fewer and fewer analogies to describe the NEXT big terrible thing. Once we get used to throwing the word "rape" around for forum junk, there will undoubtedly be an escalation. Deleting threads will become "murder." OH!
