I had an issue like this in Sept -- with a previously stable script running LSO on the Mono sim after the first production Mono release. When you find these things you should raise a non-public support ticket to alert the developers - also don't "test' it unless LL ask you to repro it explicitly

I might have once, accidentally of course, and it was in a void sim...
I was messing around with a really big TV screen... so big, in fact, that I had to have several 10x10 panels to make up the entire thing. The root prim was reading texture keys from a notecard and feeding the info to all the panels to display pictures.
I was just copying and pasting random texture UUIDs from my inventory into the config notecard, but I must have accidentally mashed two keys together on the same line, because suddenly every single prim in the linkset had at least one script error. The sim crashed a few moments later.

I've crashed a sim twice before. Far too many particles; try a Protec defense system, Eye of Horus, and a buddy with the same stuff and machine guns. It's colorful, but the sim just drops out, red map of death then grey screen. so yeah, don't do that unless you want ot get in trouble :3.

The other stuff might but particles have no affect on the sim, they are client side only.

From: bladyblue Bommerang I had constant crash issues at the same time every morning. I asked Concierge to tell me what also occurs on the island at that time. They figured out that it always happened when my friend showed up. Come to find out she had old badly scripted stuff in her inventory that was causing the issue. We held her down and deleted the bad stuff and no more morning crashes. I love these revised old posts. This is my post here (post #6 on page one) a year and eleven days ago.

I've only crashed a sim on Agni (the live grid) a handful of times but I've crashed Aditi (beta grid) quite a few times doing my own work as well as testing out various bugs and exploits.
Edit: This really is a necropost, oh well still a good thread topic.

From: Random Torok How do we determine what objects in inventory are bad? I've got a problem happening right now where after being online for 10 or 15 minutes SL freezes up. It freezes for about 5 seconds then momentarily unfreezes and then freezes for another 5 seconds. Relogging clears the problem up but only for about 10 or 15 minutes sometimes a bit longer. The problem seems to be worse on weekends. I did try a radical clean up on my inventory and that seemed to help. I'm wonderring if there is a limit to the number of items you can have in inventory, I've got about 12,000.
RT LOL sounds like simple bad lag to me. I have 18,000 items so it's not that. But clearing your cache might help.
