I kind of liked it when you have multiple choices of Client. One that was leading edge for graphics such as Windlight, a cut down version for those that simply wanted to play and didn't want/need the eyecandy etc... FirstLook, Windlight, Release Candidate all seem to have been rolled into one.. Calling it Dazzle, should give an indication of what to expect, however, the definitions of Dazzle can be interpreted in several ways.
Dazzle: To shine so bright it blinds you.
Dazzle: To amaze.
Dazzle: To shine through above all others.
They should add another few definitions:
Dazzle: To bork/make worse, something that was perfectly okay.
Dazzle: To make unuseable.
Dazzle: To confuse.
Anyone add to that?

Heh... I was just on my way to this forum to 'complain' about the new UI in the 1.20 Release Candidate version. I'm sorry to say that, but it honestly looks horrible.. I cannot understand a thing from it. Please switch it back, please, This white interface looks awful! The new icons are nice, but we want the old dark skin from 1.19 the same. Please switch it back in the next release.

The script error windows are unreadable. I have to select the text to be able to read it.
The text window backgrounds and text colors should not be changed whimsically. Can you imagine the difficulty of explaining to a customer that green text is object talk, unless it's version XXX, where it's blue, or YYY, where it's chartreuse ... etc, etc. Skins, cool. But the first skin should be rendered as close to the original as possible, to minimize the upset of changes -- unless there's some really important advantage obtained by the change. |
