I am really interested in finding the best looking most realsitic female skins in SL. My current skin is nice but I would like to make sure I have the best available out there to date. If you don't want to post feel free to send me a Private Message or an IM in world. Let me stress it is important that the skin is detailed yet attactive. Not interested in a very realisitc but unattractive skin.

Since i have no way of knowing what you'll find attractive, can only go with the photorealistic part of request ^^;
out of real photos based skins out there, the popular ones seem to be these from Naughty Designs, and Chip Midnight's skins... there's also Mavis McGettigan's works. And there's also Second Skin Lab which to my understanding uses 3d renders rather than RL images as the source, but the quality is high to the point where it can pass as photoreal with most people ^^;; |

It really depends a lot on your preferences, what you find attractive. I've tried a lot of skins, currently I'm alternating between a tan one from Gala Phoenix and several pale ones by Starley Thereian. They give me totally different looks, but they're all beautifully done.

Taste is hard to measure, like I have yet to find a gorgeous nakie (the pertinent parts) av with natural looking makeup (ie, not a ton of anything, but a little something on each part of the face).

I have a bunch but the one I wear most often is by Nyte & Day. It's freckled (like me in RL) and lovely. Really looks like me and it feels right
 I am totally naked without my freckles.I have found it's hard to find ones with flaws (like freckes - if you consider them a flaw)  I also have beautiful skins from Naughty (Backstage) and one from Canimal that is lovely but I accidently got one wayyyy too dark for me...and that be very wrong LOL. |

My Gala skin is something like that... the body is beautifully done, subtle tan lines, not a lot of makeup, just enough to look good... it's one of her tan ones, the name is Black Cat. She does some really nice ones with subtle makeup. _____________________

Edit to add, it's gorgeous nekkid, too. And more detailed in the skin than you can see in this pic. Just the right amount of realism without looking... well, freaky, heh. Lots of different make-ups to choose from. Although you only get one.  I don't know if they still have the discounted skins upstairs (did they move?) but those were a steal at $800L. She has since put out a new line. _____________________

If anyone is reading this wondering about male skins id definitely nominate naughty designs.
also, i saw a post in the gallery forum of someone working on a skin and frankly the face/hair...just everything from the neck up and pectorals down looked striking, better than ND if i dare say so. the only thing i disliked on the skin, which would keep me from purchasing it, was the pectorals and light nipple color. hope this helps some guys out. *edit* here is the thread.. /53/6c/149391/1.html check out the 2nd detail photo, very very well done. |

Been getting so addicted to my alt with her CS Passport that when I jogged back to Bilbo I just thought yee-uch! Been looking around (as much as I can without search - didn't think of classifieds!) but most the male ones look just OTT. Really just want the 'boy next door' look. Does anyone else have male suggestions? Got some serious shopping to do this weekend! |
