I was talking about this thread the other day with a friend of mine (Seagel Neville, great scripter) and he whipped up the necessary scripts to make one. I just made two versions of the room and set up the vendor at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Shaka/99/171/23

You just rez and sit on it and BOOM! You'll find yourself in a private room high above the ground. It derezzes itself on demand or after 20 seconds of absence.

Oh, and it's 1L$. I'll refund the money if you are flat broke or just starting out so don't hesitate to IM me :p

This is so cool! If I put furniture inside, would it be in place the next time I opened the room?

I always wondered if you are considered "indecent" when your furry and naked. I mean, even naked for the most part my furry avatars don't have nipples and such showing. I try to hurry up and find something to wear anyway just in case.

IMHO you are perfectly "dressed" when you're covered with fur ;) I go around "naked" from time to time, it's fun. A standard furry av doesn't show any "features" in its default state, just a smooth fur coat. If you want to look naked by human standards you need to add stuff...

Glad to get the opinion of another furry AV user on this. I guess I won't freak out if I can't find anything to wear. ;)

And just so I actually make an on-topic post (finally) in this thread. I looks like jumping in the nearest ocean is the quickest way to get some clothes changing privacy. I always thought your AV would have a blue tint to it down there; but looking at it again, (though I didn't look very hard) maybe not. (though your surroundings definitely get the blue tint. :P)

My guess would be no. I have an object called a Paradise Blanket which temporarily rezzes various locations for your amusement. You CAN put objects out on it while you're there, but if you forget to pick them up before you de-rez, they're left hanging in air at whatever your elevation was. I had to go hunting for my favorite couple's dance balls once because of that. ;)

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Ooops, sorry I haven't checked back the thread!

The answer is basically no, unless you know how to do it. :p

OK, I'll try to explain.

If my memory serves right, I left the prims moddable (having seen how it's easy for jerks to abuse freebies, I set it no trans and the scripts no modify).

You just pull out the room inside the rezzer, link furniture with the room, put it back inside the rezzer and delete the old one. You can also change the wall paper and stuff to your liking. Note that the furniture you link with the room must be copyable or it will go poof when it derezzes.

If you don't want to link the furniture with the room, select everything you want simultaneously, take the chunk in your inventory and then put it inside the rezzer. You have to manually delete the furniture pieces before you leave though. You can also do some extra scripting for unlinked objects to be rezzed in right places and derez automatically.

So... that's it! Hope it makes sense to you. (English isn't my primary language :p)

I wish I can make it easier for you but I designed it for the sole purpose of changing clothes and editing shapes in sandboxes without worrying about horny default avatars poking prim penis at you. This thread reminded me of my landless days and it's my way of paying back to the community. That's why I made it (almost) free.

But the idea of portable bedroom is rather amusing. :)
It would be interesting to make unique rooms like these that you can rez on a whim;

Thanks! One question -- what's a rezzer?
