Why would someone pay $500 US a month if they had a problem with greed on the grid?
Do you need more than one region for personal space?
Just wondering.
Ok, you want to hear me? That's fine, I am going to tell you some:
$500, That' s what I have been paying to Linden labs, for a SERVICE, today I have problems with LL and the way they operate and treat me as well as the community.
Too many issues, which are accumulating.
I am customer, who give them money, in exchange I want something in return, right?
In RL you pay your rent? You pay for holiday? You pay for a loan maybe? Do you buy food?
Do you call me greedy now, because I have been paying them $500 per month?
My business is/was still clean, I helped people, many people, loads of people, since I joined in December 2006. most of these people are not the forum, but they will remember me, don't need to tell YOU, what I do with my money, that's my business, in return, I am not asking you what you do with your money, ok? If one day I receive $500
from you and you are not happy with my service(s), because I am greedy, I would allow you to be upset with me, most importantly, I will not ignore you or patronize you.
What counts is the way you do it, and how it affects people, does it make them happy? Are they happy to deal with you? Will they remember you? If the answers is YES, than you are doing something GOOD. If the answer is NO, then you should start to worry and listen and be proactive. Are you helping people, wether you pay $500/month or not? Do they benefit from you?
As a side note, joining the Muppet Show is NOT the answer, it's not going to achieve anything, and I mute people because I don't feel them. Period. I wish they had guts and do the same.
You know in RL, if I had an issue with you, and said ignore me, i don't want to see you again or talk to you ever... I wouldn't have to tell you twice, same the other way around.
Unfortunately, people in forums think that they are courageous/heros because they gang up on people behind their keyboard. Thats' ok, we are all different, I mute and I ignore, that' s the way I am on line, when I don't feel the vibe, I don't feel the vibe and that' s were it ends.
Some one I muted in SL managed to get my attention and used photoshop to write something on a prim so I could see what he had to say. That was creative and he apologized, and I accepted it, I understood that he regretted the incident.
Now back to greed = grid... why I pay such a big tier? Yes, in fact that is what I needed,
and do you know why? Mainly to do with the state of mainland (ruined, to my taste), so the only option for me was to go to a private Island, which is NOT cheap, ok?
I am a nature lover, and started to make my first custom terrain, and was even planning to extend it with open space/void sim, because I wanted to create a mini world, were I can be happy and enjoy the scenery, far from the mainland, and most of the time I am alone in SL, and very happy, I don't bother anyone, I don't grief anyone, I don't attack anyone, but I have and still am helping many people in SL, when business calls, and that' s the only time that I am not alone, people I help are happy, I offer(ed) various services,
and as long as these people are happy, i am happy, and at the moment, my business requires(d) that kind of tier. I do not harm anyone, and no one as called me greedy, because with me, everyone takes advantage, we all benefit, and I look after everyone.
Do I need to tell you what I can do in SL, or what I have done? My skills? I don't need to, I feel good about myself, people who know me best, will remember me and know my strengths and weaknesses, no need to prove anything to a forum. Especially now that someone like you is trying to twist my topic against myself... I am ok, I have been very useful to the community.
As a reminder, the post is against the user experience in SL, not about what YOU think about ME paying that much tier. Because I can reassure you, I speak, and I act, but what you don't know is that there many people like me out there who are packing up, without telling anyone... but that you didn't know. Back on topic, many account holders with that kind of tier = no good for SL and = no good publicity.
If it's a question to tell you what/how I operate, well, this is a personal one, I am not here to tell "how" I manage my SL, but to tell people that I am paying this much every-month, and LL is not respecting me and the customers, they are turning greedy.
Do you pay that much yourself? I guess not, so maybe you don't understand how I feel, and what I mean.
Once again, back on topic, I pay that kind of money, and I am not happy with LL and preparing to leave for good. Maybe, you don't have my experience so cannot understand how I fell, or most importantly What I can SEE. That most people Cannot.
Back to my phrase on the over post:
Do as I say, but don't do as I do, I wasn't referring to me!
Linden Labs makes money because of you and me, did you know that?
Then, let's say that in return you want to make money too... you can, yes...
Further, Linden Labs decides that they want to make more money and affect the economy, and further penalize Island owner, yes, they are responsible for the crash,
yes they know what they are doing.
No need to keep going around in a circle, wondering what is going on... why... who...
maybe... or.. you have got the answer. GREED. They take, we give... they want more...
