Past couple of days, I've also noticed a lot more teleport failures, attachment issues, texture issues, clothing and items not loading, things defaulting back to a previous point, issues with the friends list not updating, and basically all of the old issues that had seemed to be fixed returning in a massive swarm.

My favorite so far was teleporting back home and finding that all of my attachments had vanished. Peeked under my avvie's skirts, and there they were, shoes, jewelry, sleeves, hair, and all. *laugh*

I'm hoping that they fix all of this on Wednesday. Again. *cross fingers*

Being sensible and grown up is for adults, I ain't gonna be one of them until I'm 70 hehe

Why don't they have backup generators or a UPS? Because the Tao of Linden says it's not required, obviously... the same as it's not required that we have the expectation that expensive items we pay for won't go missing with no way of getting them back, and so on and so forth. In short, because the residents don't matter, nor do their negative experiences. Only pure numbers matter... which is why non-verified griefer accounts are still a daily occurance...

I agree with the earlier posts. With the kind of money they are making, they should have a much better back up system. This is amateur hour. If I were running this company, I would find this repeated instability, humiliating.

It isn't just Second Life, There are 20,000 people in San Francisco without power. It is also affecting a lot of their transit services as well.

feel like I have just got home, its 3 am, with no keys, everyone else in bed and no one can hear me shouting........no mobile to contact anyone with and no taxis coming this way......

The grid still looks up and running to my alt. Data is being transferred. Chat works.

Did I mention I love hippos?

I got back in even though on the login screen it says the grid is offline O_O
