Actually there are very dark skinned tribes that smoke very big tobacco looking cigarettes that live in jungles, forgot exactly where the documentary was filmed but they wore similar hair styles even the women, and they wore similar grass skirts sometimes too.

Actually, I have seen quite a few good skins and shapes for Asians. But then, having a Japanese Kitsune as a primary form, I shop a lot where Asian goods are sold. As a Kitsune, (multi-tailed anthro Japanese Spirit Fox), it's a moot point. Furry is furry, and doesn't show much, if any, Human-type racial distinctions, except for taste in clothes and accessories. My Human Avatar is supposed to be a Caucasian who moved to Japan, so the stock skins and forms work fine for her. I have half a dozen special skins and shapes for when I want to appear more like an ethnic Japanese girl. African/American, Negroid, etc... Is hard to find. Most of the darker skins are more like a Caribbean tan. Hardly what my neighbors in RL look like. The appearance sliders can, to some degree, do Negroid features. But it's really hard to find a suitable skin or shape for sale. But then I have never particularly wanted to be that dark, so I haven't looked that hard for darker skins. A healthy Summer tan is about as dark as I usually go for a Human form. I've actively tried to find nicely tanned Caucasian skins, and haven't found anything that's been well-done. Most are just darker tints applied to their light colored skins. There are some nice nuances to dark skin that I can't put my finger on, but just coloring light skins darker doesn't capture it (the shading isn't right or something). The best dark skins I've seen are too photo-real for me - I don't like the Caucasian versions either. I'm half-Japanese in real life, and although I like many of the Japanese made skins, most tends toward powdered Geisha's, and hence tend to be more pale than most Caucasian skins, or look too anime, usually both. So despite trying to find evenly a decently tanned Caucasian skin, my favorite skins tend to be almost Goth. |

This is probably too photo real for your liking, but I thought I'd post this here, since this skin might come closer to a more natural Asian look (minus the blue eyes). Namssor, that is really beautiful very realistic. I should look your skins up some day in future. I could see myself wearing that skin if it was male. Do you do custom or many male skins? I like to do something closer to my rl face but I am still struggling with skins to get them right. _____________________

I like to do something closer to my rl face but I am still struggling with skins to get them right. http://www.secondskinlabs.com/Portraits/portraits.html I combine those with a matching stock skin from my collection, or the client has the option to combine the head texture with their own body skin textures. |
