Most useful, I'm working on a free dance orb, but wanted to only included dances that were legally free.

You may want to check with and add Lars Bismark and Mystic Dawn to that list.

LOL Beau. Well, the list is not "made" anyway; I have not yet changed its status from "draft." It is proceeding slowly because sadly my funding application for research assistants is still pending :}

I have added you.

This thread was certainly a great idea.

In my opinion, there should be a "freebie" option that can be checked under the properties of an inventory item. The permissions would still kick in, but when you buy a package with that item in it, a popup window would display something along the lines of:

"One or more of the items you are about to purchase have been marked as a freebie. Do you wish to proceed?"

This would warn potential victims of a scam that whatever is in there, it shouldn't cost 500L$ ;)

Robin Sojourner made a freebie "sip" animation which is available in her script shack. None of her other poses (I believe all the others she has are for kids) have ever been licensed.

None of mine (used in some of my products like the pinwheel or Whee-Lo) are free for use or licensed in any way.

I came back to get your list because of a thread on freebie animations on a forum across the street and was pleasantly surprised to see you're keeping it current :)

Necro-bump!

What a coincidence. The event that caused this list to be compiled came up in another (current) thread here. I remembered the list but I wouldn't have able to find it.

Thanks Dick, I never knew about this thread, but it's definitely useful. :)

Bummer, though, that the status of the Mistress Midnight model poses was never determined.

Thank you for keeping this list up! It is extremely valuable to all of those who create items to sell. It is unfortunate we did not have such a list way back when. I think a lot of the continually perpetuating full perms animations in question would not have been circulating like they are if had a list been made years ago...plus, license agreements been added to the old LL supported builder classes. Is a great need to get info out to new residents about building, DMCA, copyright, etc.

Again, thanks!
