From: Teeny Leviathan Lindens move forward with policy change. SL does not come to an end. Equilibrium is slowly restored. Yeah, this episode is a repeat. I've seen it before.  ID verification isn't a repeat and it will really bite them in the arse....sorry, ass. Forerunners for others to use ID verification they may well be remembered as, but it's going to undermine their product, martyrs to the cause.

But Congress and the several states, thru various nanny state laws have removed many if not most of the ways that nature would cull the gene pool of said idiots. Amendment IX The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people. Amendment X The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.

If I had a dime for every time the forums experienced a mass freakout over LL policy changes, I'd have one bigass jar of dimes. My point was that like so many past freakouts, this will pass. This time next year, the forums will be all about the next big policy change.

I think it was Jefferson who said "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance". Personally, I'd rather freak out at every threat to my enjoyment of SL than try to log on one day and find I've been banned due to an AR over previously-acceptable behavior.
