Daisy, if you would like to label people complete airheads because they happen to use one particular word you don't like, or because they might have an interest in a game that does not interest you, you can do that. But this message board is not for trolling or flaming, so please don't post your insults here, where people who follow the rules cannot respond in kind.

"k" or even "kay" is often used in place of "OK" and "kk" is just a variant. "woot", or worse still, "w00t" means "I am a complete airhead". I think woots become pretty common - all my air head and non air head freinds use it. I dont know whether I count as an airhead or not. Now spamming WOOT a lot. Thats kind of annoying in my opinion. |

I'm merely reporting an observed statistical correlation between woot-saying and airheadedness ... |

"kk" is "ok, ok" a little more affirmative because "ok" gets used a lot to show you're still listening rather than agreeing or making note of anything.
OK itself stands for "Oll Korrect" basically an early Victorian form of txtspk. _____________________

Hmmm.... I thought "woot" was just a shout of joy, suprise and alike... As... Woot, what a nice house! Woot, what I had to laugh! Woot, you have amazing clothes! ... to keep it all in SL terms ![]() Morwen. So did I, Morwen. [G] In fact I thought it was a corruption of Homer Simpson's WOOHOO! ![]() As I understand it: "Woo Hoo!" is a Homer Simpson-ism... and "Woot!" is an alternate/abbreviated form of it.) Oooops! Read the whole thread already, Francesca! |

woot is an arsenial hall thing. Ever since he introduced it the word has been seeping into all parts of the language.
Unlike "wheres the beef" and "i'll buy that for a dollar" it has not faded away. In any case it is an expression of excitement. you can think of it in terms of woop, yehaa, yahoo more a sound than a word. i get kk all the time when an ok is expected. I think people just stopped reaching for the "O" and just hit k twice. probably a carry over from text messaging or something. |

Must be amaricanisms, I don't know. I'm guessing kk means ok? and woot means? woot the... KK is butchery of net speak, supposedly meaning OK. So your right on that. It has nothing to do with being American though, because i am an American. I never use terms like that. I admit that i do use some net speak such as "LOL" as a fast way to express that i am laughing. I don't wish to type out the whole word, because i am a lazy American. ![]() ![]() _____________________

I use "woot" IRL for an expression of joy and happiness. When you start getting into "w00tz0rz!" and "ROFLcopter" - time for an SL vacation. ;> Ok, I logged in yesterday to catch up on messages and spotted someone wandering about with the surname (I think) 'Roflecopter'. This CANNOT be a coincidence. I giggled about that for much of the evening. (Oh, and also our household uses the term 'wootyfruits' to convey 'very good dear sir, this situation pleases me somewhat'.) |
