Only a warning? you can not change your name....so how will a warning help?

I hope Faybot is alright. He stopped posting in May and I just noticed his account vanished.

Considering your own name will likely get reported at some point - an answer from LL would help.

OK, someonly please post the poop on this (information). I was sitting on the poop deck when a wave came up behind the ship and pooped us (the wave came over the stern, which usually results in sinking -- just read a few Patrick OBrien novels if you doubt me). I had been reading the IBM 360 Principles Of OPerations manual (intimately known as the POOP manual, since it has the straight poop on the 360). Finding myself washed up on shore and pooped from vigorous swimming, I looked around but the honorable POOP manual was gone.

Crap.

Does anyone else LOL when they think of the whole Gaybot --> Faybot thing? It still sends me into giggle fits to think of the kerfuffle that certain names seem to cause inside LL.

Yeah, that was ridiculous wasn't it? It's good ammunition to fire at anybody accusing LL of being too liberal or politically correct. Gaybots would certainly be favoured over Faybots and Robots in a PC society.

I can't think of any reason for it other than that somebody found the word 'Gay' offensive, nor anything more absurd than a San Francisco based company agreeing with such sentiment.

This somehow reminds me of a childrens' novel from yesteryear, whose title character was named, and I kid you not, "Gaylord".

Haven't had a problem with LL at all with my name.

If they did, you'd think it would have come up when it was time to buy a sim.

But I'm sure that when last names can be purchased (ETA?), my goal of being Mister Crap or Commander Crap will not be realized.

And until then we will never have a DontGiva Crap, AllThat Crap, nor ALoadA Crap either.

At least you got the 'maritime' last name, i didnt have that last name to choose from or i missed it in the list or i would have picked it........
