here is a warning to anyone who sells anything or recieves money in anyway.

people have started using invisable prims to steal, i witnessed this today in a casino where a lot of people were playing blackjack.
what they do is they put their invisible prim on top of the roulette table and then when people try to bet, they end up paying the criminal and not the table. Not sure if they sould to this to vendors as well but i would say it is possible.

So be careful no one does this to you.
Also i think the guy was wearing it as an attachment to get around no building restrictions

Agree with everything except the notion that this scam is new. It has been going on since roughly 5 minutes after 100% alpha textures were available on the grid.

Tell the owner of the land that this is going on so they can return the item to the offender. Then, the owner can abuse report the person.

invisible prim warning

I have been getting some messages from "invisible prim warning" lately. What can that be? I do not have any vendors or payable objects in-world except for sometimes a tipjar (owned by the club owner, not by me) for an hour or so...

You mean u don't use Highlight Transparency in the view menu to see if there is an invisible prim before you buy anything?

This invisible prim pay trick has been going on since the beginning of SL. I never pay into anything unless i check who owns it first.

It's really simple to solve. Don't allow people to rez objects on your land. If it's group owned, make sure the land holding group is different from the larger service group so that people cannot infiltrate and scam you out of money with rezzing privileges set only to group.
