Wiped out!

OMG! I just logged back in and all of my Lindens are gone! I was on earlier today and uploaded textures so it was there. I checked my alt and there's still a 1500 linden balance. But I'm missing over 31,000 linden. Is this from the update and related to the inventory loss message at log in? Or should I be freakeing out?

Clear cache and relog. Brenda, be nice.

Log out and then check your balance on the web site. The disappearing Lindens thing happens sometimes with updates. Don't freak out just yet.

What does the web site say? If you have been wiped out there, something serious has happened. If it is only the client, well I guess it is a new feature.

Other than a support ticket, what other methods may be employed in hopes of a speedy retrieval of my funds from LL?

Check also the website transaction history, does it show any record of money leaving your account?

Have you ever purchased any lindens from outside sources? (In case Linden Labs themselves seized the money ..)

On the website what does your transaction history say?

Change your password .. Check your transaction history .. if thats clear ???

look on your acount History and see if theres anything that would explain them being missing.

Like a paymnet(s) to some Avatar(s) you do not know?

Or perhaps someone sold Lindens and processed credit to a paypal you dont know.

Other than Freaking out, I suggest you start a really badly worded rant thread about non sensical things. People will make fun of you. Answer then in an even more incoherent fashion, threaten to close the thread without the ability to do so then storm away. If you are lucky the thread will go on for days, people will start to send you money, i will ruin another pair of panties and all will be well.

Hmm. Well, there have been balance issues in the past where it helped to send L$1 to the affected account ... usually only helps with balance display, not when balance is gone on web page too. But if there is no transaction for the loss shown, have your alt give you L$1, can't hurt, might help. I'm not inworld or I would do it.

Oh Jax ASAP submit a support ticket so you have a record of filing a formal concern.

Just checked. History says it was a gift to Erika87 Shan for L$31,376 while I was logged out! How can it happebn if I'm not even on?

You should always keep a small reserve tank of nice handy. Just incase of emergency.

It may be related to the fix for the inventory bug that is being worked on. Possibly something has been fiddled with in the account database.

BTW, abuse reported and sent support ticket. I can't believe this. I got mugged! What the h*ll is happening to SL?!!!

See, this is why I am naturally suspiscious of people with numbers in their name. This is a newb account too, and the only info on the profile is that this person is a member of Os Styles - a group with a suspisciously large number of members with numbers in their names. Given that this group has closed membership, and absolutely no information posted about what they do, it all looks a bit fishy. If anyone is a member of this group, and can vouch that it is not some fiendish ring of fraudsters, come forward. Otherwise, it's safe to assume that this group is suspect.
