damn....bit far away.
Oh well....I will just have to survive...

Go to the supermarket and buy some slightly out of date taco shells.

Rummage in the bins for anything approaching green and brown matter. Insert what you find into the taco shells.

Locate some flourescent grated cheese and sprinkle liberally over the mixture.

Place the finished taco next to a 60W lightbulb for 3 days.

Then serve, wishing yourself a great day.

Hey presto - the authentic Taco Bell experience, in the comfort of your own home.

:)

This has gone on so long that anyone responding to the OP would be accused of necroposting. If you were to respond to something in the first 10 pages, would that be 'necroquoting'?

Ok, I have to quote this message from April 18th also. I'm a neko and quoting! yay! Wait . . oops.

Good morning, threadies!

Did I mention that I am on vacation??? :D

Am headed to the airport in an hour. Please light candles, chant, do the hokey pokey, whatever you feel will assist in ensuring a no-departure-delays-and-absolutely-no-problems-connecting-in-Vegas day.

Wait...now, if I encounter delays in Vegas...hmmm...I think there's a little something to do in that town...:p

best of luck and a safe trip. HAVE FUN! :D

Ok, I have to quote this one, even though it is from April 18th, because it mentions Mistress.

Oh, the "it" is the X thingie that can be seen to show where some one is looking.

No fair - that was "boots" when I wrote it.

Thanks for last night folks. I was sitting there minding my own business when all of a sudden RL called loudly, and rather unpleasantly. After solving the issue, it was nice, in a weird way, to come back and see Trout with stuff piled up to the ceiling. I took it as a sign that you all care. Don't disillusion me - I like pretending that people care, lol.

/waves and purrs to Claire...hi!! Have missed you! Someday we may both get in-world agian (been soo long since I've been in...made it in for 15 minutes a day or two ago on stolen time, and that was just to reassure myself that it was still there!!)

Lexxi!! Believe me - much of this thread can be skimmed over, and there are a few sections that will go quickly, with one or two word posts being the theme for pages at a time...

By the way, the shower bit has NOTHING to do with the money-scamming squirting prim paraphernalia described in that other thread currently running...just to calm any anxiety anyone may feel about finding such in this thread...

/groans...and however much I enjoy 'nekos', I want nothing to do with 'necros'...

Max - as horrible as the pulp is that is churned out of Taco Bell and Del Taco (and trust me, both are in similar category), there is just something about them that, given the right mental state and circumstances, just tastes so darn good...
Just pay no attention to the orangish-reddish oily discharge dripping from their food (Claire - I wish I was kidding)...it's all part of the experience.

Quick update on pops: doing quite well, we're actually at the dentist right now - just before all of his issues with his stomach illness, he had begun some dental work, which has had to wait for a month now due to his inability to handle it. Consultation this morning on how to proceed, and he'll likely be coming back another day to have more work done.
Nothing like living with "temporary" dental work for a month...

Oh!! and hi 3Ring!! /waves...don't miss Taco Bell...down a teaspoonfull of Lawry's Seasoning Salt and a laxative, and you can have the same effect...

...and Trout?? THE Trout??

Morning everyone. Today is a rest day at le Tour de France so maybe I can actually get something done. Yesterday was awesome. The course was 156km, 97miles. Here's the profile. (HC means a climb beyond category.)

Three amazing members of team CSC kept the pace extremely fast all day breaking the riders into many groups and eventually breaking up even the group that included all the favorites, causing 2 to fall off the back and probably lose their hopes of winning this year's tour.

On the final climb there were many attacks and counter attacks, with three riders from team Saunier Duval-Scott, including yesterday's stage winner, Riccardo Ricco, riding particularly agressively. At the very end the other two, Italian Leonardo Piepoli and Spaniard Juan Jose Cobo were able to break away to take first and second place. CSC's Frank Schleck came in third 28sec. later.

Four surviving Yellow Jersey contenders came in 2min 17 sec later, along with Ricco, who perhaps should now be considered a contender himself.

It took almost 35minutes for the rest of the field to trickle in. At the back a large group of non-climbers helped each other plod to the finish in time to avoid elimination.

In the overall standings: Australian Cadel Evans of team Silence-Lotto, covered in scabs from a pretty bad crash the day before, took the overall leader's Yellow Jersey.
Luxembourger Fränk Schleck of TEAM CSC SAXO BANK is now in second place overall. And Team Garmin-Chipotle rider Christian Vande Velde of the U.S.A. is still in third.

Please excuse me a moment while I go throw up....definitely no Taco Bell for me anytime soon....maybe I'll go to Maccie D's on the way home :p

Glad your dad's doing better :)

We do care. If I had been there I would have added something.

The Taco Bell franchises in the UK went tits up not long after they were launched, due to a spectacular lack of interest and demand.

Hmmmm... Taco Bell in the UK just doesnt seem like a good idea for some reason. Just strikes me as "odd". It's like putting a McDonalds in India. Seems out of place.

I have to admit, as a southwesterner, Taco Bell is a favorite for fast food. I tend to get the simpler stuff, though, like the plain old tostadas. None of that stuff with the melted "cheese" (yes, I'm sure the grated cheese on the tostadas is the same dreck, but the melting of it somehow plasticizes it more).

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

There is a McDonald's in India. They just don't serve beef.

Oh and I LOVE Taco Bell. I know it's horrid but dang, those Steak Soft Tacos...
