Good thinking, Batman!

So...women of the thread...your thoughts?
I'm in - I've got a couple of pics already that could work and a couple I've been meaning to take.

Kaimi, I decided to take a risk and submit a story to anthology today.
Good for you! Let's hope they have the good sense to want it. But if they don't you can start your rejection pile and be on the way to literary success.

So if I use my SL name as pen name am I breaking any rules?
I don't see how.

Which reminds me - this thread needs a Letter From The Lindens. I haven't dusted off that old gem in AGES.
Oooh! Yes please!

And we haven't heard from Attila the Hun recently, either...:p

heh - Attila the Hun's Diary. A romantic tale of love, life and one man's search for self meaning amidst a sea of blood, gore and violence. Told from the perspective of one of history's most reknowned genocidal maniacs, this sweeping tale shows a softer, more vulnerable side of the man we know only as the murderous leader of the Mongol Horde...

Those were actually sort of fun. Now I guess I have to buckle down and get to work. Let me see what I can come up with.

Morning all. I'm extremely tired today because I was up late watching a really good movie about Gabriele 's relatives.:p I also seen a movie called The Mist last night. Anyone else see this? Good movie but kind of disturbing it was.... Anyway, have a good day all.I should be back after I down some more coffee.

/me cleans up stuff some nosy rifflers been rifflin through as i say:
The Mist was more about human nature than anything. the scary part was it only took less than 24 hours for the craziness to begin. i love the movie though! Short story, from his Night Shift collection i think.

Many thanks, Mari. I had forgotten to check "Special Events" listings.

Once the SL birthday and Kids5B are done, I'll be able to rejoin Forum Cartel and let everybuggy know there, too. Darn 25 group limit.

(If anyone wants to do a group notice there, I'd appreciate it!)

Strange question ...
07-03-2008 08:47
I'm making a desert for tomorrow's family BBQ at the in-laws. I'm thinking of making a cherry cheesecake. What would be cool is if I could find something to make the crust with that was blue so it would have a red white and blue cheesecake. I could always do blueberry if it had a red crust ...

Maybe a raspberry marbled cake with blueberry topping and I wouldn't have to color the shell ...

Anyone have a suguestion?

Caught up now :)

I don't do ratings ... most of my stuff is slice of life. Like the warm feeling I get when Amara says hello. There is a very relaxing sort of energy that flows through me and I just want to pull her close, brush my hands through her hair and gaze into her eyes. The smooth silky fabric of her clothes a stark contrast to the leather and jeans I normally wear. Soft and smooth as I caress her arms and back. I can almost hear her sighing breath and the blood pounding in my ears as my heart quickens. The sweet smell of her freshly washed hair mingles with the floral scent of her perfume but behind that is the spicey aroma of her skin. Her lips taste sublime, her throat tastes of heaven. She is lust incarnate wraped in a body made for sin and mind made for love. There is no way I can put a number on such a thing when it transcends all rational thought.

/me grins at Yosef.

I see the fireworks are starting early this time around...

Maybe I could take you for desert? You are Tart, but Sweet. Have you been feeling blue lately? I can whisper things in your ear to make you blush. Then, just a few dolops of whipped cream and I would be all set. You are such a dish. Not overly sweet, but a savory treat that always leaves one wanting more.

And the best part is, I would never be invited back to my in-law's house again!

oouuu you could do this:

My wife is deathly alergic to strawberries :(

I may do it in layers; mix a blueberry pie filling with half the cheesecake mixture for the bottom, then the other half on top of that. Spoon some cherry pie filling on top just before serving.

Hello Yosef - I have missed you, you know.
I know, Love.
You know how when you lose someone close, you can feel guilty for feeling good for awhile? I think my wife broke past that last night. Letting go of the grief is not the same as letting go of the person. It's a better day today than it has been in a long time.

The Mist was a shorter story.

I love to read SK, but i can't watch a movie. SCARY! i'll never forget the first time i read The Shining! i about peed my pants. the movie is WAAAAAAAAAY scarier.

there have been some crapily made SK movies... like one where the mother/son fed off virgins to stay young/alive. they were like werewolf/vampire/aliens or something. pretty dumb.

Salems Lot. DO NOT READ THAT BOOK if you ever want to sleep again!

Pet Cemetary. DO NTO READ THAT BOOK if you ever want to love pets again.

SK's Dark Tower series kicks ass! and i so totally loved The Eyes of the Dragon. I wish there was a sequel to that one.

here here! the one that made me turn on lights was "IT". the book was way too intense and was the only one i stopped readin for a bit to "get it together"! i also a gree with the DK series. and i'm so looking forward to the movies. Christine also freaked me out a bit. the mother/son story was called sleepwalkers, and hey were an ancient catlike race that fed off the lifeforce of young virgins. ironically they could only be killed by cats. Pet cemetary..it was the kid that did it for me.

/me snags some of that coffee Yosef brought and buckles down to study....no more goofin off...

Morning Threadites.

Rha- forgive me but I have given up reading back to see what i had missed - I saw you were upset - what happened? I gather has something to do with responses to your posts here? Speaking of which- if anyone does respons to something to me and I do not answer- or ask and I ignore you- please im me- cause like i sd i gave up on trying to get thru individual pages.
Ditto - I just don't have the time to really keep up on everything posted anymore.

And, quite often many of my posts go without comment - I think it happens to many of us sometimes.

ooo, I just had a sinful idea ..

Instead of a cheesecake, make a zabaglioni with blue curaco. cherry topping. But -- here's the twist -- make the pieshell out of white chocolate.

oh oh oh ... I need a stencile of the texas star ... then sprinkle cinnamon over that for the topping instead.

So ... white chocolate shell, layer of fresh blueberries and maraschino cherries on the bottom, cover with zabaglioni, Texas star in cinnamon on top. this could work :)

A general summation: Everyone has something they don't like about this thread, be it a person, or what they like to post. But we are starting to get cranky and overly sensitive and getting pissy when the the thing we don't like shows up, instead of just letting it go by. And we are keeping score of who answers our posts, and how they answer them, and taking things way to seriously and personally. We had two people try to tear this thing and us aprt last week, and they almost succeeded. Now we are doing their work ourselves. If the thread is wearing on you, take a break.
