Seems like everyone else in SL has posted on this thread, so here's me 2 cents. Someone needs to start a survey of the number of SL avatars that have commented here.

Well, I'm finally moved out. I have a truck full of files and memories. i had no idea it would be so stressful. I'm just exhausted and sort of sad, even though I'm very excited about the new move. I never really realized it would hit me like this. I kind of want to sit somewhere quietly and maybe have a beer or two.

It just blows. I wish people had been nicer, but I guess that's how we're trained to be - paranoid, argumentative and suspicious. Maybe I need to leave the profession altogether and just go find something else to do.

My last SL fortune said this:

Still waiting...

well give me time to get a kiddie pool of pudding and a video camera hon... can help arrange it.

Does just outside a school to give the kids a real education sound good?

You should be the owner of a Bait and Tackle/General Store. You know, with an Ice Box out front full of cold drinks, a few chairs where Luke and Sam from the gas station hang out every day instead if fixing cars, and owe you for 6 years worth of drinks from the cooler...

But I know how you feel Trout. I am tired of the grind that has become life in our Dronelike Corporate Existance. I took Family Leave in May, so Summer Vacation came early for me, but I honestly do not want to go back. I want a change in the worst way.

That's exactly it. Maybe not a Bait and Tackle store, but something different than what I'm doing. where I could work with people I really like and not be in the middle of confrontation all the time. I feel like an aging soldier - I'm tired of the battlefield - the thrill of war is gone, but I don't know anything else, so I grind forward.

It would be really nice to wake up and know that I could be creative and happy and improve people's lives, or at least make others happy, too, and actually make a reasonable living at it.

Hi there, Monica, and welcome! Here's your gold star for your first post:

And there actually is a listing of who has posted: if you look at the "Resident Answers" page, and look for this thread, you can see the column "Replies" - if you click on the number, it will give you a listing of everyone who has posted here (239 people). Enjoy!

2 Special Notes:

Joseph: Glad to hear your dad is doing better. I'm sure a great relief for your entire family.

Trout: Woohoo for the new job, and that going well.

I've been way out of touch here for days. Caught up reading, to much to comment on but those two things really needed to be said.

Trout, congratulations on making this move. It cannot have been easy, regardless of how you felt about your former employer (ooh..that sounded good).

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.
