This is sooo true, but having a picture does allow me to do a bit more inventory sorting and cleaning when I am at places like the Hangout cuz I avoid changing clothes there - I end up flashing boobies too often when I try that.

Mind you, outfits tend to look better on me than they do in the pics, so I don't find them much of a guide

When I'm organizing my clothes, I add the store name to the end of the folder name so I know where I bought it in case I decide that I want to go back to that store or to tell others where I got it. This has been difficult at times if the creator did not include 'something' in the folder with the store name on it - notecard, LM, anything. Then, if I want to stick to my system, I have to look up the creator and hope they actually have their store name in their Picks.

If the folder has a LM I usually delete them, though some I will go ahead and move to my landmarks folder if I am pretty sure that I will want it again. I use all LMs from my landmarks folder only, which is organized by type of place, so the issue of multiples in the map listing is not really a big deal for me. However, my inventory is over 20k and therefore I detest extras of anything for that reason.

If the purchase is not going to have a photo, then I prefer to receive it in a box that has a photo on it - then I can take my own picture of the item to keep in the folder. That actually is the only time I like getting my clothing in a box - otherwise I want them delivered in a folder when I buy them so I don't have to waste time unpacking stuff.

I go on the assumption that I will always make an outfit look better, but a picture still helps during the inventory organizing session.

Well we are pretty sure that we have solved part the mystery of my dead computer. My husband handed me the cpu to show me what it looked like - I am not a hardware person. Anyway, my eyesight is better than his and I happened to notice a scorch mark on it. All fans were working and the computer is plugged in to a surge protector, so not really sure what might have scorched it.

We can get a new cpu for $175 -- Oh well, my new computer is already ordered:
Dell XPS 630 w/ the E8300 2.83 ghz cpu, 4 gb 800 mhz memory, nVidia 8800 GT 512 mb graphics card

That sounds pretty good. (But what do i know?) I can't wait to hear how it performs for you.


I usually add a note card in my merchandise packages also. It's in case a newbie buys it and needs my helpful hints on adjusting prim items to fit. But it is one more piece of clutter in the inventory. We all seem to agree that meticulous inventory organization is essential.

I got a stack of hand drawn and color book pages. Then my youngest sang a song with her toy guitar (and started crying) *sniff* She loves me.

The oldest two got me a *drumroll* ticket for a Journey concert in Sept. It seems by Sister, bro-in-law and a few other relatives are going so now I am too.

On landmarks.. I do like having it included, but.. I get so irritated when they are out of date. I spent the better half of an hour chasing down a creator who all three of the LMs he included were no good. Then I checked his profile and his picks were not updated either except one at the bottom. I would never have gone through all that trouble except that I really wanted the jacket he sold. I had one before that was offered up to the asset server gods.

I recommend a notecard with your onrez link. That will always stay the same and you can update your store location on the ads there when needed.

My inventory is a bloody mess though. So again, I appreciate the LM and a pic as long as the LM stays current.
