I LOVE your item descriptions under shopping. My only suggestion is for you to get a free photobucket account, upload your images there and then place pictures in the posts.

It is great that you included the onrez links, but if you put the picture in the post you have a better chance of keeping them interested.

amar, I hope you do not mind a little input

I used to do my ad pics the way you do yours, just pics with a background, not much more.

(If you have already done what I am about to suggest please forgive me)

If you do not have one, come up with a logo, I think you already have a name, work with that, then create an ad template and put your logo on it and info such as permissions, and maybe what is included, keep it consistent for each ad, that way folks who are looking at your stuff, learn to know your logo, and find looking at each ad easier as they will know where to look for specific info

try not to make the background too busy as it pulls the attention away from the actual product that is for sale.

Take clear crisp photos, closeups of any details, front and back shots are always good and avoid any post photo changes, such as cleaning up a line or something, as that would change the product image and lead to false impressions ( not saying you do this, just giving advice, and sadly people do that kind of stuff)

When packaging the item always include a landmark, ALWAYS, cuz people will ask where others got stuff and when there is no LM, there is a lost sale. (note card optional)

Look into joining the fashion consolidated group, it cost 1000 to be able to post notices to this group but it does increase your traffic and is way better than any ad you can place at 1000L, plus it is a one time fee, not weekly fee like ads are.

(in the first notice I sent, I got enough sales from that to cover the 1000L cost of joining as a merchant)
the group is free for anyone to join to get notices, it is very popular.

(each time I post a notice (no more than 1 per week is the rule) I end up with some sales, and new visiters to the store)

Also look into getting your stuff on some blogs (I will soon be blogged on one called Scarborough Flair)

Rha- I sooo appreciate all the input honest!
I don't know what the heck I am doing so all the learning I can glean the better. I started shooting with a backdrop that shows the store name- I do all add a note card that has the LM's to all three stores. The only post cleaning I do of the pix is cropping to get in close and smooth out some of the pixelation i get on the avies at times- I would definitely not misrepresent the stuff- and I do try to get as close to perfect as I can-

I am copying your advice so I can refer back to it - I will look up signing up with the fashion group you mentioned as soon as I have more stuff up. I had not thought of a logo! Great idea - I will see about that- see what ideas I can think up - I have been noting that all the stuff is copy mod no trans- but i had not thought of including that info on the visible ads - good thought- cause I know how annoying that is to me!

Thanks 3! - Just following some sort of inner idea of what I think I should see on the screen and then - there it is - It took me forever to get the hang of Gimp- can't say as I really got it yet- but it is a start. But AvPainter is the bestest thing in the world! That is what really helped me to see how things should look- then I was able to translate that learning to Gimp for further refinements.

I want to tell you too- specifically FD has been great at getting me to pay attention to detail- cause he is such a perfectionist and doesn't pull punches- when it has looked crappy in a gentle way he has let me know it won't fly - he has also been awesome at suggesting colors and textures for my attempted shoes- those are nt ready to unleash on the world!
