Hmmmm yeah he's cute but........I look like a fat male baby???? Not quite the image I wanted to portray. :p
Yeah, I should have been more specific. You DO NOT look male, fat, or bald. In fact you are in every way more attractive than this baby. But there is something about his cuteness that could make me believe he's your baby brother, nephew or something.

btw I was way fatter than that when I was a baby. Every time I see pictures it blows my mind. By the time I was 1 or 2 I was normal (looking).

They're SERIOUS fun. Usual vehicle controls, with page down "righting" the ball in case of trouble, and page up tossing you upward a bit. One of the more fun vehicles ever!
I was too late for the hamster ball, but I got a sky joust bird instead. It looks a lot like an emu.

I'm going to see Avatar in 3D today. Yay! In other news, Brann and Carter invited me to the Monday Night get together at Madhu's cafe last evening that I've been meaning to go to forever. Great world music and good conversation and not a *hooooooooooooooo* to be heard.

Some of you might recall the sim I was living in for 2 years went kaput a few months ago so I've been homeless until recently. I took on another mortgage a week ago so I've been busy digging in the dirt and landscaping. I might try to make a movie and give you guys a virtual tour later this week. Happy Tuesday to y'all.

i had fun at last night's party, but the whole 5 minutes i was there. LOL i only took one pic, and not everyone rezzed for me, so i'm glad to see the pics of others.

and Mo, i think you would enjoy building. it's very satisfying. i'm not a great builder, but anything i can do to help - please ask.

From: Joshooah Lovenkraft
I'm with 3, building is one of my favourite things in SL!! It's like the coolest set of legos your parents could never afford or were willing to buy you. I was so bad at it when I first started and have gotten a lot better. There is a lasting sense of satisfaction knowing that you actually made something, even if it is a piece of crap (/me looks at his Christmas tree avatar :p ). I love teaching people how to make stuff so you have an open offer from me as well. There are also a ton of free classes and resources on the grid to help you and will walk you through the process in easy steps. Start off with a small project and you'll get addicted!!

From: Seven Okelli
Yeah, building is a lot of fun. It's so much fun that it's even worth running off and hiding so you can do it.

At the same time, it's so great to get help from other people, because there are so many amazing things you do, and shortcuts, and ways of saving prims, but the only way you find out is that you ask someone for help and they say, oh, there's an easier way...

For a few months I was building with a friend, and that was a ball too. If you find the right building partner everything goes so quickly.

And then, choosing textures!

I'm off from work b/t Christmas and New Year's, so I'm going to be looking for classes.

3Ring and Josh...thank you for your kind offers...I'll find you inworld when I'm ready to start playing. :)

Josh, that Christmas tree avatar was AWESOME. Freakin' awesome! :)

Howdy folks!

Wow, ever have one of those weekends where you are glad it is Monday and you can get back to work just to slow down and relax for a minute.

Sorry I missed the party, hope everyone had a great time. :)

I mean...um, no. :D

But, yes, in a way, I know what you mean. When you're running around like a crazy person trying to get everything done on the weekend, it *is* almost like a break to just sit at your desk. :)

There there, don't feel bad. I am an idiot too! :D This is the first time ever, having attended several Cartel parties/events, that I have decent pictures showing on Lil's Flickr site. Usually my face light is lighting up the grid, or my feet are 10 shades darker than the rest of my skin, or something else odd. Being an idiot is relative, you get used to it.......and you are *not* an idiot when it matters......(glances at the 'Sex, Lies, and Scylla' thread...)

You looked gorgeous at the party...as usual!!! *smiles*

When first started building and was building my first house I found this very helpful. I dismantled several freebie houses just to see how they were put together.

I've managed to dismantle a few houses...

...unintentionally. :o :p

A little boy goes to his father and asks 'Daddy, how was I born?'

The father answers, 'Well, son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway!

Your Mom and I first got together in a Forum Thread all about Second Life. Then I set up a date via e-mail with your Mom and we met at a inworld coffee house.

We sneaked into a secluded skybox, and googled each other. There your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive.

As soon as I was ready to upload, we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall, and since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later a little Pop-Up appeared that said:

"You Got Male"

awww... very cute, Treasure!

Hey, I mentioned that Six has a snow day today... so my mother dropped her off to have lunch with me (while Mom went to the gym).

It was a pretty quiet lunch. We played cards a bit. We were both tired and slow. And it was cold, so we ate a fair amount, and we were walking slowly after we left.

Well! We were passing in front of a subway station when a guy came flying out, and cut in front of Six. There was no good reason to do that, but he very rudely cut her off.

/me laughs

And then he connected with Six's foot. She was just walking, and very slowly, but her left foot was forward, and the rude guy in a hurry tripped.

He didn't fall down, but he went stumbling and couldn't stop. His arms were waving and he was going, "Oh uh oh uh oh!"

His heavy backpack didn't help him get his equilibrium back either.

He almost crashed into a newspaper stand, so everyone was staring at him as he ran off.

"I didn't do anything!" Six said, and I laughed like an idiot.

oy! Glad Six (and the guy) were OK.

Just wanted to say thank you to the organizers for a wonderful party! Also thanks to Lil & Feline & Soji for your pics! Each of you got some great shots ... I got a few too, next time I'm home I'll look them over and post if I have anything different to share.

I know Cee had a wonderful time being Santa, too! The white fur around his face in that outfit makes him look almost saintly, don't you think? But we know that's just an illusion.

(That's Lil on his lap)

:)

Want to know something funny? When I first got to the party, and saw Cee's name over the chair...I thought he *was* the chair. A Santa Claus chair avatar! :p

Happy Monday, thread-folks!

A little late with the weekend wrap up thingy this week. Been a busy-ish weekend, as one can imagine!

I was all over a bit, with cramming in the last of the Down The Chimney Hunt, hosting a little movie thing in the Winterfest sims, attending the Tonight Live with Paisley Bebee taping (Redd Columbia and Hamlet Au on the same show - cool!), and jes a lot of running around.

One thing I did get done this weekend was a holiday portrait of me an my sibs. We actually did a couple, jes to see how it'd look:

Here's the more informal one:

and here's the "Sears portrait studio" version

Oh, and here's one other thing: Abranimations has been giving away some seriously fun stuff in their advent calendar. Friday was their giant hamster balls, which meant me and my brother terrorized the vehicle sims, and me an my sis did the same through the Gulf of Lauren. This is the sorta fun that only happens in SL, methinks!

Have a super solstice all, and all sorts of happy days this week!

Those are some great family pics, Mari, and holy moly, those giant hamster balls are cooooool.

I just heard about Paisley Bebee for the first time yesterday. I've got to try to tune into one of the shows!

Mo, I saw a lovely Greek style build over the weekend:

The above is called "Santorini" and is a kind of mini city, it was a custom build. However, I visited the shop of the creator, Bora Rossini, and he said he would be happy to consider making a single-home version of "Santorini" or a custom build.

He also has one called "Palazzo Rossini" (L1299, C/M):

The Palazzo is a bit dark, but since it's C/M you could texture it with lighter colors.

Oh wow....Santorini.....*daydreams*

Thank you so much, Malia! I went and took a look at that Palazzo Rossini, too! :)

Wandering thru one of the Winterfest areas:

I found a sled to ride:

Oh, very, very nice Santa's helper.... ;)

I'm a little worried about all that sledding....weren't your legs chilly? :p

I like that hair style, too, Lil. *smiles*

Virtual Ability has been featured on her shows a couple times; Gentle Heron and I met her at SLCC; I have a really hard time there (which I explained to her when I met her in RL, but she blew it off) because the shows are voice only, no transcription. So I started blowing her shows off too, even when Virtual Ability is featured. None of the deaf community can hang there, is just too tumultous you have to listen to the voice, through the music channel. Is kind of confusing. If you're deaf is near impossible. I sent a notecard detailing my concerns to her producer, no response. I also attended one that featured one of the SL Raceways, where a deaf friend of mine races. Even though he and I are both deaf, he is more deaf than I am, and so he asked me, since I can hear some, to interpret for him, to transcribe into text. Ended up being too much for me and we both left. As we left, one of the staff called me a bitch (guess because I disrupted the flow by standing up to leave). Ah well. No great loss, and I've been called worse. there are other things to do in SL. I know her show is very popular and I hope that others enjoy it.

I heard "Avatar" was pretty good...or, at least the visual parts are great. :) Can't wait to hear your report!

I love Madhu's Cafe - it's one of the very first places I visited when I started. :) Madhu's Cafe is a wonderful place to hang with friends, and listen to some really great music. I'm sorry I wasn't able to be there last night. :(

But YAY on being a land baron once again! :p
