Cool pic - where is this?

That is the outfit I wore for the 1920 Berlin reconstruction that is in Showcase tab. They are very strict in what you wear, but I was able to make the wings small enough they didn't notice them. :)

Just wish they allowed suits other than brown or black.

When I put this dress on, I remembered how Pep once called me "obviously broody", so -

Don't worry, it's not my new look.

But DNA tests will start tomorrow afternoon at the hangout for the men.

OMG! I'm alternating between sniffling cuz it's so cute and "who believes this??" and snortling, because I'm laughing so hard.

Great photo, Elora. I'm so happy you found it, and that you shared it with us. :)

I nearly fell on the floor and peed myself laughing when I found it. Even odder, was I also have some semi-love letters from an old friend back in the 80's that I had saved, where he did drawings on the envelopes of llamas, made amusing comments about llamas and even wrote "llamalicious" on them  I had completely forgotten that there had been this joke between him and I, although I can't remember the inception of it (probably drug induced lol).

So, it does seem my life has been periodically bombarded with the presense of the "Llama" :p

/me goes to work on the movie rights for this.

Thanks for your stories. I really enjoyed reading them, especially knowing how much you were enjoying your weekend. *smiles*

One more little story, told by Richard Arnold. It was pretty well known how Roddenberry was frustrated constantly by NBC, be it censors or network people looking to give creative input, and he vowed he would never allow that again. When TNG was launched, he demanded and received total control over every aspect of the show, he was not to be questioned by anybody. When the episode "Conspiracy " was produced (The episode where the aliens infiltrate Starfleet HQ), Roddenberry received a note from the head of Paramount, saying he felt the ending was too violent and could he tone it down.

Roddenberry called the writer, Tracy Torme (Mel's son) and told hime to re do the ending, and make it more violent. He did, and when he read it, the Paramount guy again complained. Roddenberry called Torme, and again told him to notch up the violence. The scenario repeated again, and finally the Paramount guy said, "OK, I get it. I shouldn't have questioned you, you can put back the original ending.

Roddenberry said, "No. The ending stays that way." So the ending we see in that episode, of the guy's head exploding and the aliens crawling out is actually the 3rd rewrite.

Good story. The idea that censors could have "creative input" is just plain crazy.

Even so, at least the women in the short skirts in Star Trek were smart as well as busty. ;)
Very true. Or I would probably never have even liked the show. I could watch and imagine myself as a a space fleet officer - with bewbies.

/me grins. The jacket's nothing to do with him, actually, even though it's the same quasi-military look. It's actually this lot:

Yeah that's entirely different to Michael Jackson. As is your look. I like it that your parade jacket has nothing to do with anyone but you.

That's good to know. I noticed in the first episode of NG there were women in short skirts but people like me must have complained because then there were a couple of episodes that included male background crew members in those same short skirts. That was a nice save.
Whaaaaaatttt???? Now I have to try to hunt down those episodes...

Just watch the first TNG episode, Encounter at Farpoint. You'll see them in a corridor shot. They look like little man tennis dresses. :p
