I was *trying* for a "stranded on a desert island" shot, but this is what I got:

What is a boot fixer btw?

.

If you're stranded..I am sure rescuers will waste no time speeding to your destination!

Yummy pic. :)

Oh and a boot fixer is an animation or pose of sorts that you wear which keeps your avatar's ankles locked - it's great for picture taking so your feet don't look oddly bent. :)

A HUD (though you could maybe attach to a body spot) -- when *enabled*, it fixes the foot ankle position so that your ankle does not look broken when you sit in various poses.

Thanks. Kong sits on the top of the Rebel Hope building. He has been there forever and they always dress him up for the various holidays. They have the couples Gaze pose actually IN the hand, but I did not really like that pic, so I just *sat* on his hand.

lol..OK. Guess I just go in and out, via tps...and not really taken the time to look outside.

Fireworks anytime are a good thing!

I loved living in San Diego...where Sea World had fireworks every night!! Oooh, I was in heaven! :)

my heart just sank. i haven't been to Sea World since i was 14. i don't even remember it anymore. my most memorable fireworks show took place in a boat in the middle of Lake Tahoe. they had music coinciding with the works, and it went on for hours. it was magical.

Happy Independence Day. i hope this helps. :)

My son decided not to re-enlist this past April when his time was up. He was getting disenchanted too much by our government and decide to follow other paths. However, we still honor the military and keep in touch with many of his high school friends that are in the military and send packages whenever they are deployed.

One of his best friends was deployed to Iraq. He is a Reservist, so his actual deployed time affects his pay and benefits greatly, even going forward after the deployment. There is a big difference in $$ for a Reservist benefits depending on whether or not they were active for more than the normal full year deployment - especially in their GI education benefits and health benefits. Just last month the government decided that a good way to save dollars was to send many of the Reserve units home just before they hit the 'one year of active' mark. So my son's buddy came home 1 week before that 'year' mark. They only have to keep him here 6 months and they can then redeploy him without bumping him over that "year active" threshold and again keep him there until just shy of the one-year time frame.

Sometimes, businesses and government find the scummiest ways to save a few bucks.

Happy 4th to all the USA crowd... :)

I took my pics in front of one of the cabins I'm building for our little Cajun Village. I'm not sure the night lighting was all that successful. :o

Not sure? ha ha! Not sure? Yes, it was successful! Nice pics!

Thanks, Mo and Lil for the explanation of boot fixer - I wish I had one for the last picture I took. I had to leave out my hands, my legs, and the rest of my arms because they were ALL broken That's why it's such a fairly tight shot of me.

Yesterday I ended up at a hip-hop club, a change from my usual music taste.

What surprised me was that nearly all the women there, whether they were black or white, had very big bottoms.

Of course, me being skinny by comparison, I was asked if I was a guy or girl 'OR BOTH'!!! I've never been asked that before!

This is an interesting cultural observation. It sometimes makes me wish all those survey requests really were for some legitimate study of us virtual beings. This is the kind of thing they should be focusing on.

The night lighting is very cool - a nice contrast to the hot, so to speak. But ouch! Watch out for splinters in that second pic!

This also sounds non-ideal from the point of view of disrupting his life with intermittent service. How is this guy supposed to get a career going ever, or get into family life? *snorts*

I've known this one young man in our neighborhood since he was in grade school. I guess he's in this reservist pattern, because he has these long breaks from service, during which he basically just parties with his friends until called up again. Pfahhh.

Picture the scene: the weekly Sn@tch update notecard from Ivey lands on Skell the second he logs. He opens it, scans quickly for guy stuff, spots something, clicks the image, twiddles his thumbs while it loads...

...then TPs the HELL over to Sn@tch City to grab it.

Man oh man, are these shirts farkin' gorgeous. Six colours (yeah yeah, I only wore the black) and two pairs of jeans in the pack.

I am there now. Worried a little if any neko babes would want to kick out a doggie while I was waiting around for the shirt texture to rez. The one you want to look at is ALWAYS the last one to appear. I was interested in a teal or gray/green/blue, but found all the colors but black a little too flowery for my human form. I do like the black though.

There is a ladies version right next to it that is very nice.

Thanks, Skell.
