OK off the wall subject in this never meandering thread...

Do you ever take one look at a thread outside of here and just decide not on your life r u going to get bogged down in that freshload of crap again?

There have to be like three or four i am actively avoiding right now. Thankfully one which fell off first page finally.

I'm avoiding all except this one. Trying to wean myself away. :(

You think the platypus LOOKS weird?

It's venomous, milk comes out of its pores, it locates prey by detecting electric fields... and much more bizarreness! The Wikipedia entry is quite interesting.

Naw...just us turkeys

(which I just about hit on my drive to work this morning)

My husband had a close encounter of the Turkey Kind on one of his trips home- the thing was flying and went head first into the cab of the truck and into the sleeper! He pulled over cursing the blood, feathers and glass shards and thought he wd have to clean out dead turkey...

The turkey however, had other ideas. It was only stunned - It came to and tried to reorient itself with its world that had taken a tragic turn for the worse... Husband then trying to drag the feathered behemoth from the sleeper and cut and bleeding himself finds him set upon by this raging monster of feather and gore (that's gore, not Gor or Gore) that literally pushes him out of the cab and drops him on his butt on the side of the road! Shaking and not too sure of what has happened, the turkey leapt out of the sleeper- if one can imagine and badly cut up turkey with only one functioning wing actually able to leap and lands- all 30 pounds of him to hear husband tell it - on his chest! Sputtering turkey feathers like a scene from a bad When Turkeys Attack video husband makes his way to his knees and finally standing realizes he cant get back to the truck because this undead zombie bird stands between him and freedom! Kicking at it and stumbling he makes it back to the cab where he drives off to safety.

Moral of the story- if wandering alone on foggy nights in the bayous of Louisiana, be wary of the Turkey That Would Not Die!

(Thank you. Tonight's presentation of Mystery Science Theater is brought to you by – Butter Ball Turkeys- Yum!)

You like flirting with turkeys, do you? Granted, you said "just about", so you didn't actually hit on the turkey, but still. I'm curious.

Someday I'm going to buy two baby turkeys and raise them every year and name them Thanksgiving and Christmas. That's not going to be for a LOOOOONG time though.

You didn't need to correct your spelling of the band Creed. I'm quite sure he doesn't even know who they are. :p
