Just wanted to say Hello.

After a long weekend, most of which I spent feeling horrible, I've managed to back track thru the last few pages of posts.

I'm glad to see everyone still posting here (well, almost everyone at least).

Do you have a wall around your garden? I accidently drove over a wall to get to the fountain to drive into it. which leads into

(1) I was attempting to remove my clothing, sorry.
(2) Neat that a 1929 car is still out there on the road :)
I like my Primouths, and I like randomly picking a car to zoom around in. The sim had a date that ends in 1928 or something like that, and my oldest car is 1929, so that is why I was in it.

I wanted to point out that Sonia's avatar (left) looks remarkable - even more so when viewed in the client. It still has that SL look, but it's one of the most realistic and beautiful avatars I've seen.

If I got to choose, my first choice would be that I wasn't the one wearing the duct tape. However, they say variety is the spice of life, and I'm usually up for trying something new, so what the heck.

Interestingly enough even the Cambridge online dictionary list the "z" version of the world as being the standard. Plus I thought the second definition was very fitting for this conversation.

Interestingly enough the correct way to spell it is with an 's' since it has a Latin root, and as Jig and all of you erudite Threadies indubitably know, there was no 'z' in the Latin alphabet. Ignorance and probably an inability by illiterates to write the letter 's' the correct way around consistently has led to the version with a 'z' being generally accepted.

Which Latin alphabet do you mean, Pep? Latin is not one uniform, static thing.

Vulgar Latin, which predates English, had a Z.

Also, having a Latin root doesn't guarantee that the word entered English directly from Latin. It's more likely to come by way of France.
