Morning Threaps - I have no cute and exciting pix for Sunday - I spent hours making... a piece of window glass ! You gotta remember, while I do rather OK on the prim coraling (to follow Tania's western theme) scripts, I insist, were translated from an ancient, dead language by aliens with a lisp and I have no hope of ever comprehending them... that said, I have this friend who is sure that if he keeps possing a question in different ways I will magically come up with an answer - and he was after tinting glas in a different color than the usual dark as an option for some windows in a house he's making - after several hours of beating scripts over the head til they performed on command (and tons of help from people that REALLY do know what they r doing) I ended up with a passable fascimile. Yes it is reinventing the wheel somewhat since i am sure for people that script it would have been easy. To me it was a dandy accomplishment and one I learned something from. My friend's parting words though, glass firmly tucked under one arm - "It be nice if the texture could include a window frame." Hah! Way ahead of him! But it will keep til I have time again. And now - oh pooh! Back to RL work... /me shuffes out the door.

Uhhhh... I am still tired and sunburnt from my weekend away. Even the backs of my hands are sunburnt - never happened before.
My older sister got married. Last night I got back all sleepy and emotional and babbled first at Garrett and Nekorina (I think I gave her a headache) and then at Feline and Chris.
It was all fun, all nice, all beautiful like weddings are supposed to be. My voice is almost recovered from singing (more like shouting) with my sisters.

*waves* Hello threadies! Hope everyone's well - I haven't had much time in world lately. When I have been in world I've been helping my sweetheart build another lovely garden, this time in our home sim of New Toulouse Algiers. I've started tinkering with animations and if I come up with anything worthy I'm sure I'll share it with the Cartel group. Other than during the Monday night parties at the cafe, I'm usually in world as my alter ego Carter, whom I think most of you have met. So give a wave if you see Carter gallivanting about. Hope to see you all soon!

From: Seven Okelli Which one is the nice one? . They are very similar really, but the inworld one isn't concerned with forum animosities . . . Pep ( . . . and walks away from people who behave badly, unlike his alter ego in the forums.) PS But don't worry if you are one of the large majority who can't seem to cope with the distinction.

From: Lexxi Gynoid I like New Toulouse. (actually, that boat is in the next sim over, but the first picture is in New Toulouse Algiers) Yay! New Toulouse Algiers where I (well, Carter) live, and I simply adore it there. You should come by some time and see my weird little shack and Stormy's new garden, especially if you like Madhu's Cafe (which is also her work of course) - the garden is in the same vein, lusher, wetter, more overgrown, more wild. It's not quite done yet but it's getting close. What you noted was the next sim over, with the riverboat, is New Toulouse proper, part of the same estate. New Toulouse is the swanky town, while Algiers is the sort of run-down swampy bayou town on the wrong side of the canal.

Thanks I hope you do not have a fountain with a woman pouring water out of it. I think that is in New Toulouse swanky town, but might have been in run-down part. I accidently backed into it with my car. Posted a picture of it somewhere in this thread. That canal crossing can be brutal

Oh dear, we do have such a fountain in our garden, but it's a popular theme so I don't think the one you backed into is ours. Might have been though! From: someone That canal crossing can be brutal I end up in the canal every time I try to get out of my rowboat.

Secondly... the crash seems to have embeded you into the seat. Thirdly... thank goodness you were wearing those two life preservers.

Lexxi's car looks suspiciously like the one that almost sideswiped me on Rt 80 last night.
