For the record, I can confirm that RL Pep is not "a skinny, gangly, pasty looking guy with thick spectacles, a beak like nose and bad teeth." :)

I had not heard it before - can you imagine!- until you posted it last week- He has mothballed the airship home for the time being, though I hope actually riding it will repeat itself sometime since the last time I spent most of the time falling thru the sky :(

You never saw the movie???? OMG, it's great fun. Run to your library and get it! :)

Ummm no offense but I seeing as you asked and I try to answer everything as honestly as I can.
Much less muscly and a more intellectual look I suppose, leaner, more bookish, one who might not concern himself so much with the mere trivialities of outwards vanity perhaps. :o

Me too, that's how I 'imagined' Pep. I actually saw Pep once, at the Hangout, during a party, but he was sitting down at the bar and I was way on the other side of the room trying to keep my mega facelight from annoying people. I would have been to scared to actually go up and start a conversation anyway. So I really didn't see him close up but that's how I imagined him, what you said.

Why should I be offended? ;)

Pep (It says more about your perception and stereotypes than anything in that other daft thread! )

PS I am the opposite of vain though!

*waves from Mom's house*

Sexy pics everyone!

What's this about a lingerie party at the Hangout? I will definitely need to go shopping for that.

Congrats Elora! Sounds like you'll be happier at your new job. And yay new clothes! :)

I only just caught something about RA going away... I sure hope not.

I'll catch you guys in a few days. Mum is still recovering from yesterday's chemo. Things are looking really good - blood counts completely rebounded after the first chemo, and her doc says he's very very optimistic for the rest of the treatments. She got a wig - it looks cute!

Love and hugs to all.

*waves to Oryx*

Gosh, I'm so glad all's going so well for your Mom. And how are you holding up? *hugs*

Thank you Mo!

It is an area of conversation in which it is easy to offend people inadvertently.

Parachutes will be provided on future flights.

One of my great SL joys is being able to do the two things I can not in RL: Fly and boat [Bad eyes, and land locked in Colorado- but hoping to move closer to water.] Also available for anyone's enjoyment, is a fine selection of water craft.

Mainly that there seems to be a widespread assumption that erudition is not a characteristic of a "jock".

Pep ("What's got the IQ of a genius?" "The New Zealand/Welsh pack.";)

Pep inworld is a completely different persona from he who inhabits the forums. Next time a dance maybe?

Pep (Unless you take back into inventory the sofa he is sitting on at the Hangout, to name but one unfriendly act committed there. :( )

Not at all. I own the DVD.. I watch it at least once a year when someone says they've never seen it.

Well, Ms Okelli, would you like to lie down on that couch and tell me when you first started getting a screen-ticker running at the bottom of your vision field? :p

Pep (Take off your clothes first; you can put them in a pile over there in the corner - next to mine. :D )

I will have to get back to you on that - my teleprompter seems to be down.

Really? I would have said it is more an assumption that an erudite person would not lean towards creating what is in SL a stereotype by itself, the "muscled man". Of course I had not considered you might be shaping your av from your RL look ;)

We all form images that are built from stereotypes when there is an absence of other information, the trick is not to put a great deal of store by them, which is something I try not to do for the very reason they can be wrong.

I was completely unaware that today was "Biker" day here in Resident Answers. Please forgive me and allow me to remedy the situation forthwith.

Oh my.......that was quite a statement, eh? Anyway, I don't own any furniture or objects at the Hangout. As for the dance, can you resist whipping a prim spider out of your.....?
