Ok, I forgot I took this a couple of weeks ago, and it suits the theme. I did post it already but I'm running out of the house and don't have time to do a new fresh picture. Besides, I'm sure Eli hasn't seen it so we'll just call it new for him. And many thanks to Skell for letting me know about these pants :) They truly turned out to be very uni-sex.

Awesome pants. Incredible pic. I like the tropical background with the snake-y pants. :)

Mazel Tov, Elora.

I forgot to mention that my Biker Jacket was a gift from Willy Neumann. He was an early member of the Forum Cartel, and claimed the title of Village Idiot. He was also the editor in Chief of The Broadly Offensive Post, our one shot tabloid. He left SL a while back, but he was a quirky, funny guy.

Thanks Maureen, and Zena.

I really count myself as being very lucky considering how hard it is to land a job these days. If I didn't have the contacts that I do, who knows how long it may have taken to find something new. They (*they* being a global term) always say networking is the way most people wind up finding new work the quickest, and I now have to believe this is true. I was only unemployed for a couple of weeks, when this fell in my lap, and truthfully had hardly even begun looking on my own because of going on vacation.

I work the networking angle exclusively, Elora. I've not had to do a resume in over 10 years. All my contracts have been through the tech contacts I have here and in the US. The old adage of "it's who you know" is certainly true for me.

But again, congrats! I hope that you will be much happier here than in the other place. I know that work environment had its challenges.

Lexxi pics are needed morning, noon, and night! :)

And me too, Lexxi... In RL, I have the hardest time striking up conversations with people I don't know. In SL, I'm trying to overcome that. :)

In SL and RL I talk to almost anyone. The scariest-looking people turn out to be pussycats. They seem RELIEVED that somebody actually spoke to them.

Usually when I'm wandering I say hi to people I pass. It often takes them a while to respond. If they don't I don't take it personally.

One difference between RL and SL is that in RL people start talking to me. Strangers, neighbors. In SL I have to start. It works out the same anyway.

I figure people are afraid or don't know how to start or whatever. You can say ANYTHING, even stupid things.

This probably sounds weird but I get prompts in my head, like the next thing to say. Like sentences on a teleprompter. I just read them off and they usually work. (I hope that happens to other people too!)

I have to agree with Brenda, not at all how I imagined Pep at all.

So go on - exactly how *did* you imagine me?

/me thinks this will give Love and Brann the oportunity to dust off their previous efforts . . . . :(

Last night I had the strangest dream...

I was on a subway train, it was grimy and dimly lit, hurtling to who knows where. It seemed empty from the little I could see but I felt watched all the same as if eyes peered from unseen corners of the carriage.
I looked down at myself and saw I was wearing the lingerie that I had put on to sleep earlier. I realised also at that time that I was laying at an odd and slightly uncomfortable angle. I started to rise and found my hands, for reasons unknown to me, tightly bound behind me keeping me secured in this fashion. I struggled and struggled for what seemed an eternity but to no avail.
After a while my mind started to send me back into sweet oblivion and as all conscious thoughts began to fade away, I heard a low chuckling sound from in front of me.
I was too far gone to care and when I next opened my eyes I was awake for real. I was free of the dream and safe, yet it had left me disturbed and uneasy. Was the dream a premonition or warning of some kind? I had the strangest feeling that whether or not I wished it, I would be learning more about the mysterious subway train and its faceless terrors...

oooh...*shivers*

It's not a bad movie overall... but the train scene is amazing. Tom Cruise and Rebecca De Mornay alone on a dark fast moving train.

um...yes, it is... yum yum yum

Well, Ms Okelli, would you like to lie down on that couch and tell me when you first started getting a screen-ticker running at the bottom of your vision field? :p

Pep (Take off your clothes first; you can put them in a pile over there in the corner - next to mine. :D )

Ummm no offense but I seeing as you asked and I try to answer everything as honestly as I can.
Much less muscly and a more intellectual look I suppose, leaner, more bookish, one who might not concern himself so much with the mere trivialities of outwards vanity perhaps. :o

*waves from Mom's house*

Sexy pics everyone!

What's this about a lingerie party at the Hangout? I will definitely need to go shopping for that.

Congrats Elora! Sounds like you'll be happier at your new job. And yay new clothes! :)

I only just caught something about RA going away... I sure hope not.

I'll catch you guys in a few days. Mum is still recovering from yesterday's chemo. Things are looking really good - blood counts completely rebounded after the first chemo, and her doc says he's very very optimistic for the rest of the treatments. She got a wig - it looks cute!

Love and hugs to all.

I had not heard it before - can you imagine!- until you posted it last week- He has mothballed the airship home for the time being, though I hope actually riding it will repeat itself sometime since the last time I spent most of the time falling thru the sky :(
