Asthma and bronchitis are not a good mix :(
Oh most definitely. Thankfully, my occurrences of bronchitis dropped drastically when I quit smoking. My sympathies here.

Thanks Kaimi (and everyone else!). I have a very good feeling about this, and I've been very lucky that each time I've moved from one job to the other, I've gotten my new positions quickly and they have always worked out (no pun intended). I've only had 3 jobs in all the years I've been employed (other than working one summer during college; and a short month job which I left because it was a bad fit) and each time, they kept getting better overall.

I'm hoping, if this is "the one" that it turns out to be as fruitful for me since at my age, I'd like to be able to stick it out until retirement which is only 12-15 years from now (12 if I can manage financially to do it on the short end, which is entirely possible - whether I'd *want* to is another story).

At least I feel like I can relax a bit now. I have this stupid appointment with unemployment tomorrow afternoon I have to attend - a "career workshop", meh. And, my old boss called and asked if I could come in to help him crawl out of the mess he created with the books (not a surprise - he had me on the phone for 45 minutes Monday also), for which he'll pay me out of pocket. Should be an interesting day.

BTW - love that photo of you in the roller skates, I agree, it is one of the best you have of yourself :D
Thanks. Every time I try to figure out how many jobs I've had I always lose count. I've also drawn unemployment compensation 2 or 3 times. Even back in those days the hoops they made you jump through seemed like they were designed to resign you to futility.

You have some of the super skills without which most businesses can't survive. As your old bosses are figuring out. And to have it in a specialized field - ie office managing for architects, has got to make you valuable.

Fleet Week started today in New York. It's one of my favorite Memorial Day activities. I wasn't able to make the Parade of Ships today, , but I plan on going on Sunday to see the ships and vist the newly refurbished Intrepid.

Navy kicks off Fleet Week 2009 with parade of warships - NJ.com
San Diego used to be wall to wall sailors but since they closed the Naval Training Center not so much.

I agree. But I bet no one was too disappointed. This field of contestants were all so good I bet every one in the top 10 has been looking over proposed contracts for weeks...

Many pretty pictures...especially Skell's (swoons). I don't watch normal TV anymore so I don't know what AI is (another forensics show?). Go ahead...laugh. Or is it related to AO? Who knows anymore? Is AO now AC? Maybe I'm too tired to be posting... :)

Early "Good Morning" to the Threadies about to post breakfasts!

Hi Bith...AI=American Idol :)

@3 It seems every season, something like this happens IMHO. If they are voting straight on vocals, Adam should have had it for sure. But, if they are voting for all around talent, I think Chris...he sings, plays piano, guitar, etc...

I would rather suggest a sleeping draught for the kids and a few bottles of wine for the adults.
 :D

GOOD MORNING !!!

A wonderful morning it is. Heading to the airport in a bit - Canary Islands here I come. Since my internet access, and therefore forums access, will be very limited until I return late on the 29th, someone keep good notes on the important happenings so that you can update me.

I'll have a few drinks for each of you.
:D

Everybody in my house voted for Adam. It was a BIG disappointment when the other guy won. Whatever his name was.
