(Be warned, I just woke up from a 3-hour nap and I don't think my fingers are working properly yet, thus typos may abound. I also can't be arsed to do the whole quote thing because that requires a working brain and mine's always iffy after a nap, so this'll be Twitter-i-fied.) @Jerboa - Me three on the bewb-shading at Aoharu. I get around that by picking the darker colours (the lighter ones always show it up more). I know it's supposed to look like you have amazing pecs, but in reality I'd prefer to look like I have pecs rather than double-Ds @Lil - Thankee! *gone pink* @Oryx - I would have done the img tag thing, but I thought doing that meant people using the Greasemonkey script didn't see the link? I would do that, just for the pic itself, but I like to link to the whole page so people can see the store credits if they want to. @Mo - Very unisex, but I don't think I've seen a single other guy risking it! And yw about the store listings. A couple of people keep telling me I should do a fashion blog, but I don't have the time, patience, energy (or money) to keep up with something like that. And I guess I should resort to stereotype and call dibs on pink, then. Good morning threadies. A sucky day so far. My head is absolutely killing me due to sinuses -- another damn front moving in tonight to take us from the high 80s and low 90s so far this week down to the low-mid 60s for tomorrow. And I am suppose to fly out on vacation tomorrow -- Canary Islands for a week -- but still have quite a bit of packing to do and yet I want to spend all my time inword saying an extended goodbye to a terrific man that I'll miss terribly cuz I'll only have very very limited internet time there. I think I'll see if I can wrap stuff up in the office quickly and go home for a headache recovery nap. /me stops whining and raining on others' parade. Happy day to all.  Poor baby. Woohoo! I have an interview next week with that architectural firm! The lead principal of the company just called me directly. He requested we and one of the other partners have a clandestine lunch meeting, instead of interviewing me in the office. Apparently the current office manager's departure must be some kind of hush hush situation or something and he doesn't want to draw attention to me being there. Plus, he felt that it would be more relaxed to meet me over lunch, to which I agree considering that my experience level is so far above what most others would bring to the table in this instance as I've been in this field for over 23 years and know the ins and outs of working with architects and various City agency officials in NYC rather well (I sure have spoken with many of them over the years, so they certainly know my name). So, I'll be meeting them in the office to have a quick glance at it's appearance but we'll be dashing right out, and pretending I'm a client or something lol. Yippeee! Now, I just have to figure out how much to bump up my salary request. I hadn't gotten a raise in nearly 2 years because of the financial situation of the old firm, and I have to start higher, but...how high, is a fine line between greed and reality  . I'm thinking 10% sounds about right, and negotiate from there if they balk.Anyhoo, heading out to p/u the underwater pix from the trip finally. Those sure took a while to get developed Cyaalllater._____________________

/me waves forlornly at the Threadies... Thanks for the great pics everyone! They are really helping cheer up what is turning into a totally sucky week at work. We started on Monday with the "rake Allie over the coals because the economy sucks and we have no cash coming in" marathon, followed today by the "give your boss (me) incomplete information so she can run around looking like a fool" marathon today. Add my own stress cause cash really is tight (on Monday I wasn't sure we would make our payrolls), and we have lift off! heehee.... not really, but it sure seems like it some times. Lurking helps... so thanks Threadies. Poor Baby. Have some chocolate, a soothing drink and a BIG HUG from me. _____________________

Whoot! This could turn out to be the job I've always thought you deserve. Good LuckElora! Thanks Kaimi (and everyone else!). I have a very good feeling about this, and I've been very lucky that each time I've moved from one job to the other, I've gotten my new positions quickly and they have always worked out (no pun intended). I've only had 3 jobs in all the years I've been employed (other than working one summer during college; and a short month job which I left because it was a bad fit) and each time, they kept getting better overall. I'm hoping, if this is "the one" that it turns out to be as fruitful for me since at my age, I'd like to be able to stick it out until retirement which is only 12-15 years from now (12 if I can manage financially to do it on the short end, which is entirely possible - whether I'd *want* to is another story). At least I feel like I can relax a bit now. I have this stupid appointment with unemployment tomorrow afternoon I have to attend - a "career workshop", meh. And, my old boss called and asked if I could come in to help him crawl out of the mess he created with the books (not a surprise - he had me on the phone for 45 minutes Monday also), for which he'll pay me out of pocket. Should be an interesting day. BTW - love that photo of you in the roller skates, I agree, it is one of the best you have of yourself _____________________
