Hello Threadophiles!

<snip>

I'm just venting. You may return to your regularly scheduled days :o

grrrr. Sorry about the network, the printer and most importantly, about the fact that the lady hasn't contacted you. :(

I try to reply to anyone who inquires about jobs here...either generically, if we've got nothing available (or if they're not, um..suitable...for the position :p) or specifically, if there is an open position.

@Mari -- I got tired just reading all of that.

Morning thready ones. I must say I am sadly disappointed at the lack of fish people at the beach party yesterday.I demand more fins next time.

Did anyone take pics? I was too busy watching a Law and Order marathon most of the day and forgot.:o
I got a few group shots and a few comedy shots of people that were rezzing funny to me - on the group flickr page. Since I was testing out my new laptop and the RC viewer, I did not spend much time on more pics. Here is one of the pics of Cee and Litta when they rezzed funny to me after they came out of the waterdrop avis:

And since the weekend is slow and some might have missed it, I'll be narcissistic and repost this pic of me dancing with the Devil Friday night:

Off to try and catch up on missed work from last week and attempt to get ahead in prep for upcoming vacation.

There's a great new NPIRL installation where you can insert yourself into famous painting/film clips and some print ads. I put myself into one of Salvador Dali's paintings which I can NOT show here because I'm stark naked but you can go to my Flickr page to see those (http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f385/eloralunasea/ElorasWorld.jpg[/img]

Ok. I confess I've never known what that one means. Is it sticking your tongue out? Gangster-style drawling out of the side of the mouth? A nervous mouth shift?

Lovely morning, albeit somewhat brisk for mid-May here in NJ.
Going to be freakin 91 here today - a sharp jump up from the mid 70s and low 80s we have been having.

From: Elora Lunasea
In the interim, I have to give this woman a telephone call this morning that I emailed my resume to last Thursday. I have no heard back from her. I don't know if she has been busy, needed to run it by her superiors or, is just plain rude.

See, whenever I'd receive resumes via email I'd always write the person back. If it was unsolicited and no job available I'd say a generic "thanks, we're not hiring at this time, will keep it on file, good luck in your search" sort of response. In this instance, I was specifically requested to send the resume, by someone who knows both of us. So, you'd think she'd have the decency to respond by saying she received it and would be in touch (or not, whatever!).

On the other hand? I also know that when we really did have a job being offered and had lots of resumes to review, we didn't respond right away. However, I just keep coming back to the fact that mine should have stood out since I put in the title ".....Sent Per....." which you'd think she would have noticed. Meh. Who knows?
Yeah, if it had been specifically requested, you should have gotten at least a basic acknowledgment pretty quick. That is about the only time I have gotten such, unless they actually wanted to talk to me about it.

When I hit "return" it always doubles up which may be the problem. You can find me in the Cartel group, of course, if you have trouble picking up the link here.
