Hehe, ok, here's another of her...if you look really good behind her in the first one, you will see someone just waiting for that poor puppy to make a wrong move, lol. It's been like this for 2 days, I'm afraid to let them out of my sight, when together :(

I love her. Poor Kitty, her world is reeling. I hope s/he gets comfortable again soon.

With a STEAM MOP!!!

https://sharksteammop.com/contents/index.aspx

Bought this thing a couple weeks ago and it is a friggin miracle! I have Italian tiles through out the house and I am amazed at how this thing cleans - my floor would be sticky even after washing it normally - always used either Pine Sol or Spic and Span type stuff - This sucker just uses water and nothing else.

Impressed - seriously impressed Even the grout is back to regular color. I was so impressed , the following week we went out and bought a small steamer thingie - http://www.target.com/Shark-Super-Steamer/dp/B000GHDN38

Anyway...

That's my story - done cleaning and raving like Martha Stewart :D

So last night, I was having this serious conversation with my baby boy kitty. I was telling him how this chica 3Ring makes funny posts and stuff... and that her LOLCats were the funniest. I asked him if I could take a pic of him just for her and he... turned... tail... and...

Sigh - the hardest thing for me is facing the fact that the weekend is over and I must be responsible and go to bed like all good little boring 9 to 5 mundanes. God, I miss being self employed.

Good night, good people. You helped me have a great weekend.

G'mornin an G'evening, Threadies!

Okay, so... the weekend. Well, it's gonna require two posts I think, because there's a lot of piccies I wanna include, an the creaky ol' forums won't like that. It was one of those weekends, you see. 'cuz the last couple I've mentioned "oh, did't do much, ho hum." This was not one of them weekends.

Friday...

Here's the last quiet moment. Well, sorta. There was a noob who had popped into this scene moments before I snapped, plopping down right in the water. I said hi, He said "Sorry, I'm French." He flew off a bit after that. Sometimes it's those little moments. But ya, after this, it gets busy.

A lot of Friday was "get ready for the parade." I helped get stuff together for the parade and the party, working with BlueGin Yifu on the set up. I also watched the Yokohama Marching Band practice on Bay City's Route 66, and had a bunch of IMs goin' all day.

That evening was field day at HardKnock Elementary, where all the classes competed against each other. We had a lot of different things, from paintball and obstacle courses, to soccer and SL Trivia. I did the latter, a-course. In the end, it was our class that won. Yay! We all gut cute little trophies for our shelves.

Saturday started with a car wash at HardKnock Elementary, makin' some money t' help take care of graduation an promo costs f'r the school. It was fun, an we washed a ton of cars, bikes, skateboards, and even avatars.

Right afters, I went to root my brother on in one of the bajillion sim Relay For Life snail races. Here he is comin' round towards the finish. He came in twenty-threeth!

To finish off the night, and after the weekly fishing contest at Cheep Cheep Landing an a parade practice, I went to a part at my friend Holocluck's new place in Bay CIty. This was prob'ly the most unique Party I've been in in SL. We all bunny hopped to 1970s pop spun by GoSpeed Racer. It was awesome. Everything from the Bay City Rollers (of course!) to Neil Sedaka to The Hollies to ELO.

The night ended with a note from Soft Linden, telling me (and other people who'd asked for the Soft Bear) where to find it, sorta. It's off in the ocean.

(Flip over for side 2!)

Sunday started early for me: could barely sleep. It was parade day! Good thing that I got over there when I did, 'cuz people started to show up early. We already had half a sim an hour before we were every s'posed to start marching!

We had marching bands...

Floats...

And all sorts of things...

(yay, more snails!).

There were also equestrian groups, kids with blurtophones, kids on bikes, yet more floats, dragons, people riding elephants, 8-bit space invaders, holograms mamboing in sombrero and serape, pianists, people on stretchers, and about 70+ people trying to make it through a sim designed to hold 40 people.

Okay, so we had a bit of a rocky start.

But we did recover an make it down Route 66. It was neat to see so many people there jes to watch the parade, which is something I've not seen in the Nova Albion or Bay City parades before. I even had to make sure to move people to the "child regions" away from Route 66 so enough could make it through.

Once at the end of the route, the love show started. We had three acts, fan each was super. At the start we had 41 people in the main sim, 36 in the sim next door, and additional people at two other locations in the city enjoying the stream. Even after three hours of live entertainment (not including an hour or so of parade), we still had nearly 40 people in Bay City - Handa for the show. Heres a shot of the stage.

Over all, the event was a success. We had a ton of people, around 150-200 avatars or so overall. Ya dun need me to tell you that's an epic crowd f'r SL. there were folks from all walks, from furs to dragons, an from the standard human party girl to floating prismatic spheres of light. It was noisy, chaotic, and actually quite of bit of fun in spite of the lag and trouble at the onset.

After all this, and some time off the computer (yay!), I came back for the Indierock for RFL auction. You see, Banjo Hero by Redd Columbia was there on the block. A one-of-a-kind item. I sooo wanted it -- but it went for way over my allowance! Sold for L$91,000! They raised a ton of cash at that auction.

And then...

I could relax again, so I watched the clouds for a while and had nice, social IMs that did not involve planning big events or stuff like that. It was good.

So how was everyone else's weekends?

My Sunday was... interesting.

I got to go to my niece's first dance recital.

On the good side- it was only 2 hours. My sister's old recitals used to be 4 hours long. Talk about TORTURE!!!!!

On the bad side- I thought I had gotten out of going to those things when my sister quit taking dancing lessons. 16 yrs of Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and whatever else.

Mari, I can't tell you how much I was excitedly anticipating this week's issue of Mari's Weekend Update." :)

I knew I wouldn't be able to attend the festivities, due to RL commitments, but I also knew you'd be able let me feel as if I was a part of it...through your recap and your pics. :) Thank you.

Congrats on winning the trivia contest...I'm SO glad all went as well as it did with the Bay City anniversary celebrations...and HOLY COW! I'm really happy so many people came to celebrate with you.

A perfect ending for your wonderful weekend:

Thank you again, Mari. :)

And... ya this thread is slowly dieing because there's not so many posts here.

It was the weekend - people do get out from time to time. Besides, the proportion thread got interesting for awhile and whether one posts or just reads, it takes a bit. After a couple of rehashes I gave up reading it too.

Today is a new day and plenty of time for carrying thru :)

My apologies to those who tried to talk with me at the beach party yesterday...I was having some technical problems and things kept flashing in and out so I figured we'd better just leave before something bad happened :-) It looked like a great time! (a cable modem reset fixed things, by the way).

Morning thready ones. I must say I am sadly disappointed at the lack of fish people at the beach party yesterday.I demand more fins next time.

Did anyone take pics? I was too busy watching a Law and Order marathon most of the day and forgot.:o

Oh and thank you for the update Mari. Nice weekend as usual. You sure are busy for a 6 year old.:)

And formally good morning.

Hey Peeps!!! I am semi off this whole week yay!

Semi 'cause I might have to go in to type up some blech, yuckky thing full of numbers at some point- but other than that I get to stay home - woohoo :)

So, once little dude is off to school I am heading back to my warm cuddly bed.

Speaking of which, nice jammies, 3.
